Simple inexpensive upgrades can make a world of difference. I have gone to Nitto tires (slightly wider all the way around) replaced the stock coils with QA1 coils that dropped the SlingShot by about 1". I haven't replaced the shocks yet and for the $120 cost for the coil change out don't see a need to spend the big money just yet. I did have to cut down the height of the rear cleavis because the rear coil is still stock.
I also upgrade the front sway bar bushings with polyurethane as well as drilled the stock sway bar link mounting points 3/4" forward to stiffen it by about 20%. The tires were the expensive part but we'll worth it. @FunCycle and I were having a good time up until the little even he had. I was very pleased with the results .... Big bang for the bucks....
Point being it is relatively easy to improve the handling dramatically with little effort... And yes I'm still N/A.

What size tires did you end up going with?

You own one of the best handling things on the planet - find a nice twisty section of road and run it over and over again until you find your marks. Keep your hands light on the wheel and look for the shortest way thru. You will be very surprised how easy it is.

As long as it's dry land.

Was out on Lake Erie fishing today. About 74* and overcast and seen 3 different water spouts off towards Ohio. The one lasted for about 10 mins and was quite big. Other two were smaller and vanished after a few mins. Neat to see as long as they are a few miles away.
Crappy iPhone pictures so if you can zoom in on the horizon you can see the spouts

I have to fly up Saturday morning for a couple hours. My sister is having surgery at the Cleveland clinic. I will look out the window for you.

Im a sports car guy. Today the SlingShot handles as good and in someways far better than anything I have driven. You have to be careful because it's a totally different driving experience that may amplify the experience over a closed cockpit vehicle. I live just south of some of the best riding roads in the deep South. The things I'll through the SS into I would have been a little less likely in other cars.
When I first got mine I took it the the vintage races at the Mitty (road Atlanta). Grass Roots Motorsports was having a skid pad challenge. There were about 98 vehicles that ran the pad. Stock to highly modified. With the stock suspension and Kenda tires we pulled a 1.1g if memory serves me. We ended up 16th overall. The car magazine never noted it at all...

Dislike that last part. I couldn't find the button for that.

It is a little trick @rabtech taught me. The old dirty filter part pulls out of the screw cap very easily then you snap in the new Wally World one and voila - a new oil filter. I will have to look in my shop for the filter number because I no longer use it. Get it for ya tomorrow morning unless someone chimes in before.

Thanks for your effort I ordered the k&n from Amazon and will get the oil from Amazon as well. Thanks again everyone.

Thank God (or whoever you believe in) for you guys. I will do just that.

I was just wondering if this is a good price as opposed to the stealer for oil and a filter for the SS or not. Thanks for your input on this item.

I did the sparco shifter and am awaiting my short throw shifter to ship in the next week or so. Waiting has never been my strong point.
