Is it just me or does anybody else have the urge to re-wire every accessory you add? Seems like everything I get used 28G, 4 strand wire. Not really, but all the wiring is so fragile and tough to solder and splice when needed.

If your fan draws a lot of current (ie high amperage) you may need to involve a relay. I didn't think to mention that possibility earlier. What is the purpose of the fan??

So my wife will ride with me. Actually just a 12v fan to move the air a little in the cockpit until fall gets here...

I have a 2017 Base. I have added the fuse block and dash switches from Slingmod.com.

First, I'm adding a 12v fan. So to use the dash toggle switch and also take advantage
of the fuse block, I'm unsure of how to connect it.

I have black (-) and red (+) coming out from the fan. Instructions for the dash switches say hot wire
from center post to battery (assuming I can take a hot wire to the hot terminal on the fuse block
for this) and then red (+) wire to one of the outside post from my accessory (fan). So for the ground
wire connection (-) do I use the black ground wire from the fan to the ground on the fuse block or
ground it to the body frame somewhere?

Secondly, I have the Scorpio SRX-800 alarm system. Their wiring instructions are as follows:
The SRX system harness has three wires; you will need to connect these to your Motorcycle:
Red: Install the terminal ring of this wire directly to the battery positive post. I'm assuming I'm
going straight to the hot (+) terminal fuse block with this one?

White Wire with Blue Ring Terminal: Install the terminal ring of this wire directly to the battery negativepost.
I'm assuming I'm going straight to the corresponding ground (-) terminal fuse block with this one?

White Wire with Quick Connector: Install this wire to a 12 volt switched source using the providedQuick Connector.
Remove the cap on the open end of the Quick Connector attached to the whitewire of the installation harness.
Insert the switched power wire of the vehicle into the slot in the cap.Tighten the cap back on to the Quick Connector.
Locate the 12 volt switched wire source on your vehicle. Since I'm already tapping into the glove box cigarette lighter
connection to create the (+) switched terminals from the fuse box, where do I connect this wire?

Thanks in advance for any assistance. I'm trying to do everything myself but just have limited mechanical experience.
I have already wired Wet Sounds Stealth 10 Bar and installed and after-market radio so i have learned a few
things already, the hard way, but it all works.
