We are off and running.

We made it to Richfield Utah and the code has cleared.
-
Would you believe we had another mandatory break.
-
Found it. 2 bar map sensors at high altitudes.
Any ideas what code 106 is? @rabtech
We kept going with the code -
An opportunity to stretch our legs. Just crossed into Utah. 4 more hours to go today.

Goodbye Tahoe. Next stop Fallon, NV

Put faces to a few names and met some new people. We went on a fun ride with a great host dealership.

It looks like helmets are required in California and Nevada but not in Utah and Colorado. I have only gone to the gas station and back without a helmet so it would feel strange.

Has anyone come up with a way to lock your hood? If someone knows how to open the hood of the Slingshot they could steal components or leave us stranded. It may have taken me hours to install the turbo but a thief could remove it in minutes. Maybe the hood latch could be moved into the glovebox and springs could be added to pop the hood up when the latch is pulled. Hopefully there is a vendor working on this.

Getting new BF Goodrich sport comp 2 put on my base rims tomorrow. I wanted to go with Nitto but they did not offer the exact same size.

In the time it took me to add my turbo you have swapped engines. You truly are the slingshot Guru.

The ECM was installed and the Slingshot fired up. I took a short ride without the exhaust tip, hood and side panels so I had a lot of fumes. I'm hoping that improves when I install those parts and it has a chance to burn off. Thanks again for the assistance.

For those of you that are driving across the country and use half helmets are you bringing a full face in case it rains? I am thinking of putting fullface helmets in a duffel bag and hanging it on the side.

Thank you to everyone for your assistance with my turbo install, especially Cam for offering to face time me unfortunately I've been installing the turbo between 10 PM and 1 AM Pacific time which was probably a little too late for him. Hopefully I will get the ECM back on Saturday and can find out how well I did.
