Behind the radio has to be the hottest place on the sling. I wouldn't recommend that location for sure. If you are going under the seat which seems to be the easiest location for wiring... Put some rubber grommets under the amp to allow water flow beneath the unit. I've been lucky with mine under there for a few years and no issues with heat or water.

Can you post that on the slinger page? Love that pic. It sums up our love for the slinger life!!

I may have it in reverse! When I shift gears my gauge will be flashing a number normally in the low 20s. Thats when I get a chance to look at it. It may be in low numbers while I giving it gas and then spike up to the higher numbers once I engage the clutch? Then my gauge would flash the highest reading to let me know it just spiked there. Does that sound more like it?
I dont know to view the boost numbers on my gauge. Its a snowmobile gauge (link on main post) and I just left it on the main settings it was on since I am unfamiliar with everything
I would find a back road where you can look at the gauge a little closer while driving. I'm running the same gauge on my sling and it works great. If you push the bottom right button it will change your main display from boost to A/F or vice versa. The other reading will go to the bottom right.

Possible that you had that in reverse? 20's when you let off the gas and 9's when giving it gas? The wires could also be reversed maybe??
-
Yes, I switch mine for summer and winter riding.

-
Excellent job!!! How come so many people you ride with need this information?
-
yes sir ,
Video of the switch in useI've tried to search everywhere, but did anyone ever show the wires to connect it to a switch? I'm installing one this weekend and they would like a switch.
THanks!!!

Here is a video clip right after the installation was done. I did make a few minor tweaks to the sound after driving around, but you can get an idea of how the sub sounds.
-
Im wondering if you can hear it at 75 to 90mph?
More like feel it. I can hear the audio just fine, but the bass is a little drowned out. I do have all custom speakers and side pods with subs and two other amps, so that makes a huge difference. -
FYI. I love this little sub. Easy installation and sounds great. If you aren't looking to put subs in your storage compartments then you should try this.

2 inches to spare on length. Sounds great sitting in the garage. It's an open air vehicle so like my Harley with its 10 speakers it still will probably sound horrible at 80mph. I just want a good clean sound as I'm driving around town. I'll give a full report after this weekends ride.
