No one told us to wear helmets when playing old school “yard darts”!!!!!WTF the world has gone soft ass weak complaining Kardashian hell. If any of these people were burning in there car and needed help, I would love to stare at them, laugh, and walk away as they became part of the landscape.

Just takes one lawsuit, “it didn’t say not to drink the water” The MRE heater that is chemically charged to make your meal hot even says “do not eat” It all started in the 80’s when a lady spilled her hot coffee on herself from McDonald’s!!!

I also have a 1320 header, hoping my repaired Alpha hangs in there. Yeah no word from Henry, hate to see them just disappear which I don’t think they will, keeping the faith. Like I said thanks for saving my exhaust!!
-
All new or did they use any inlet/exit pipes from your toasted Alpha? Still side exhaust?
-
I can say having heard them a few times on rides, awesome sound. He did his pipes in 2015. Now with a DDM SC, built his rear fender, CAI and those are old school craigers. Oh and had the blue silver paint before the blue one was out. It’s cool. Mechanic by trade, great guy. Not too load at all.

@Slingrazor just sent you a PM with info.
-
Jeff at rocky mountain slingshots face book has done it
-
Sling mods has plug and play for fog light, that’s how I did mine.

Having just done mine to fix exhaust and replace, the lower panel with the fender is all I removed. I didn't touch the back lower panel as in the video for step one. Speaker pod first and about 13 screws. If you take your time its maybe 15 minutes.
-
Damn boomer sorry to see that. Its ironic that you started the thread that lead me to go check my exhaust. I don't think yours looks salvageable, but the one you saved was mine and I thank you sir for your post. I think in time the Alpha boys will make it right.

Got it welded up. Said he filled it all the way around. Couldn’t get under the inlet pipe to grind the fill material. Looks good to me and no flex like it did with the crack.

Father, Son, Daughter say thank you to all. We stand, and always will, because we live in the best country in the world. If you don't and can't believe that, then by all means try living somewhere else for at least 12 months. Thanks for caring about the 1%. The Gillespie Family. "We will defend'

Awesome info, thanks to all for the input and keep it comming. The shop I stopped by today had a grandfather & grandson welding up a trailer as I walked in. I asked the elder of the two, "what do you think?" Him: "whats it off" Me: "Polaris Slingshot, aftermarket" Him: "looks like titanium" Me: "Really, I think its stainless" Him: "I think we have tried those before, if its stainless i can do it, but I think its titanium". So, just to prove grandpa right, the grandson (not saying a word) comes over and tries to stick a magnet on it.....it doesnt stick and the grandfather says: " Yup, don't stick, I think its Titanium" Me: Really, I need to find out what it is. Him: "Find out what it is and if its stainless, we can do it."
Here is the best part of the story keep reading: I will take it back to that shop and go with 300 SS. I will tell them to "weld er up". "The grandson was 9 years old".

Chinesium
Oh, well that easy them.....CUMYOUNGSOMEGUY will fix it.
-
I agree, so stainless? Anyone? I did have one welder look at it and he suggested titanium....but I can’t see it either. A magnet did not stick to it....so...just want to get the right weld for the material. Anybody know?
-
Back to my repair. Big dog recommends Heliarc welding. What is the material the can is made of, titanium, stainless, ?? I have removed it and got it cleaned up. Need to know the material and best method if all agree with bigdog that’s what I will do. See pics of cracks. Oh 45 min to remove exhaust, easier than I thought.
-
I had mine welded with no issue. It depends how much it is separating and the welder you find.
It can be done though.yes I believe just finding the right welder. I have seen my step father weld a RC plane exhaust pipe tin foil thin aluminum so I know it can be done. I will keep you posted once I get it done. I have always been happy with my Alpha products and side exhaust.
-
well crap, I am going to check around for the hell of it but thanks for the info. I will pull it off and pimp it around for a taker, or science project.
-
i have had mine for 3 years now, just went out and checked after reading this. sonofaB!!#! It is cracking but not separated. Anyone get theirs re-welded? I really don't want to buy a whole new system.
