Just installed my 1320P shift knob adapter and love how I can finally use a different knob instead of the crapper polaris one.
    one question I have though:
while the boot looks great in the adapter, when shifting, I notice that because it's not really clipped in place (like OEM is) it does move. back into neutral its looking fine again.
Does anyone else with the adapter (any brand) have issues and if so, how did you fix it?
I was thinking of some quick super glue to make it stick to it this way when shifting, it goes with it and you dont see the stock oem clip holes (my ocd kicks in a lot).

note: i also have the alpha short shift adapter installed (if it makes a difference)

Why? Forget about cost per gallon, how about figure the cost per mile for both and then the cost to the enviroment to make.

Oh I'm not saying it's good for the environment, hell it could be or it couldn't, I really didn't care at that level... lol (I'm a horrible person!)

I was in love with the power gains and the other benefits that the Evo owners were seeing (power being the big one) :D

very late reply on this but didnt know if I should start a new thread or just reply to this (sorry if I needed to start a new one).

So I've been searching for this stuff for the SS everywhere. I guess it answers it, the SS with stock ECU/Fuel lines/pump and injectors just cant handle the E. That really sucks though because where I live (CA) there is E stations every 2 miles, lol. It's kinda nuts TBH.

My previous car I converted to E-85 (Evo9) and gained 80WHP by re-tunning the ECU with 1 knock on road safe tune at 11.5 AFR (I had it a little rich up top). MPG was pure shit though... 14MPG LOL!!!!
If the SS had the fuel lines compatible with E85, honestly the rest is really easy, fuel pump, injectors and tune, insta power (if FI then significant power).

This does bum me that we have to go meth for that extra oomph, having the alchy in me for so long, I don't want to go anything else lol

to add: the e-85 gas stations here, i only used propel station and from all other evo owners (we had something cool to test the octane levels) the e-85 was rating at 110 octane. from 91 gas to 110... yeah i'll take that! at only $2.20 a gallon vs 3.39 for gas

I had issues like this too and after a week the entire radio died, stopped booting.
Went to the dealership and they said it's sometimes common on these (my ss was at that time 1 month old) . Replaced under warranty.

@xxx4reggie that's why I started the thread because I wanted enough feedback before pulling the trigger. Agree the 35 will be too tall. I'm going with 285/30/20 and will post pics of the before (275/30/20) and after as well as sidewall fitment to the rim.
285 is the max width (actually one size too wide from manufacturers recommendation) for the stock SL 20" rim. Willing to give it a go for the expected life of the tire.... 7,000 to 8,000 miles.

As for the look. It will look great!

    awesome, TY for posting this!
Can you take side shots too so we can see how it looks with it being a little thinner.

hey guys, i am horrible when it comes to tires and how to pick the right one so I come here for advice :)
is 285/35/20 safely possible for the rear? what kind of issues will it create?

will it look weird with the fronts being stock and the back being 285/30/20?

Having turbo cars most of my life some things that I always recommend are:
Always have an AFR, always have upgraded head studs, always check how much knock you have under boost (this is cheap insurance as the cost for these are nothing compared to the repairs).

Under load, what was your AFR readings, 10...11..12 or higher? When under dyno, did you see how much knock you were hitting? Gas makes a difference (on my evo, chevron gave me 2 knocks while mobile 1 was over 7 (dangerous for me).
15 psi seems way too high for stock motor especially since these aren't designed to handle so much boost. What is our compression on these motors?
Finally you need a free flowing exhaust with that much boost and power, restrictions like baffles can be bad.

ya, I joined the FB group. I'm trying to make some time to get there next meet but problem is it being about 2 hours away from my house :(
    Wish there were closer ones

Just so you are aware the group buy fell through, What I am trying to do is find a local dealer that would be willing to play ball.
These two post are 1050 # so if i can do a local pickup that will save a lot on shipping so they should be able to give me a deal.

I am just posting the info here as i go along so other people can have an idea if they want to do the same.

As of right now i am pissed and won't buy the quick jack or anything from Ranger lifts(unless i find a killer deal, money talk after all).

    gatcha!
TY but yup i'm still interested. if that saves money, then it's towards another upgrade :)
