You know I'm curious too. I've seen alpha post up theirs with auto and turbo but what about stock, basic bolt ons and Forced induction but tranny stock.
Post em!

Please put my in the hypothetical line for a K24. Depending on final cost and transportation woes, I am game to give it a serious consideration.
This is exciting news all around. I knew @StickerDick was onto something being the pioneer in swapping to a Honda power plant.
+1 with me too!
LOL!!!
someone group buy this hahaa. i showed that vid to my buddies, they want to do it too now. You have started a something my friend
Iinteresting, that makes more sense with going with a K24 engine. I was chatting with my buddy who is a S2K freak and he was telling me that finding s2k engines are kinda rare.
For the K24 engines, which model of it? Did a quick wiki and here is what i found:
I'm happy that we get to re-use our GM tranny to go with the engine since that will greatly reduce costs when swapping the motor but curious to know, what can our tranny handle for HP/TQ?
Also, to boost the K motors, how much work would be required? simple turbo bolt on? How much boost can the stock block handle before kaboom.
I'm going check out some forums for the k series engine to find out more info (really interested to see how E85 will go with these guys) and report back.
At first I was going to suggest to you to look at the 4G63 engines along with tranny for a swap but are even more rare then s2ks so that probably won't work for cost (it does come boosted though and can handle up to 400whp/400wtq on stock block) and it'll be awd from the start.
I'm super curious on the route you are going and kissing ass to the wifey already to get the blessing to do this when you are done hehe.
Please keep posting here with your info
P.S. I love VTEC
I'd kill for a shop in CA actually doing swap work and furthering the SS addiction. Seems we have to watch all the fun from afar or order kits and tackle the work ourselves. I'd prefer a Honda platform over this Chevy.
Shame really.
Intrigued by this thread and happy to watch from afar.
I feel your pain. Being in CA, we are pretty much left to watch others do some pretty cool builds

Super excited about this! I'm one of those people that will not do a 4whl conversion since I'm in CA and I might get in trouble with DMV or cops if they see me plus takes the unique 3whl look away.
I'm will be watching your threads for sure and pray this goes perfectly and goes into production :). Be the first ones to do this!

Brb changing pants yet again!!!
Omg give me the 411 please!!!!!!!!
Don't make me beg!

Why not awd conversion? Keep the trike setup but 3wd. If that can happen, talk about stealth SS!
As for engine options, glad anything is there besides the ecotech that comes with the SS. Man this thread got me excited!

that is great news. always happy to hear more options for modding as it shows the community is growing
question for you, any reason to go with the honda engine vs others? (it's a great engine but just curious on choice).
I am a little biased on the Evo9 engine
I will take the Haltech and a bigger turbo on a built echotec!
Keep me in the schedule brother!
I agree,
If the traction issue can be resolved then damn! The potential the ss has is insane.

i just wet my pants
curious on what the cost of a s2k swap is. also the worry of traction
Keith, any way you can have them make it run out to the back to eliminate the smell and fuses? Their exhaust look so good, shame to hide it

Fml... I just spent 1k on my garage door replacement. Someone teach me how to get wifey approval for this and not get murdered.
