Feel free to contact me if you have any questions. It's a piece of cake. Plus it counts as a real mod. Any time you've gotta cut it's a real one.
Ok I will once i get'em thanks, an hopefully we getta meet one day so I can give ya a proper handshake or buy ya a drink
-
Yep. You're gonna need to cut and install at the roll bar bolt. It's really easy though.
Ok thanks,
Oh' boy will have to have some calming beverages before I do that.
Will see how that goes once I get all my goodies. -
I'm waiting for my new MadStad Stinger roof, anyone know if these will work in conjunction with the roof ?
-
I am not the most active member, probably cause my limited Sling knowledge. But I do refferance alot of the info here. I'm just starting to get mods underway so will be utilzing it more. It really comes down to two options and as a member I'm kinda split. For a true grass roots forum I can see the value of having to be a member to get to some of the real goodies. But being devil's advocate as this site grows are we going to limit people from signing up because they cant come visit and see all the value here before they decide to join ? Hard one, but I trust the brain trust's here will make the good decision.
Good job and thanks for everyone's input here.
As for guessing on new toys, I agree with some type of line lock and maybe some type of controller you plug into a lap top for active ride settings ? -
posted this in the other trhread on 4pt harness, posted here encase someone is not following that thread.
Received email from Slingmods about the harness bar. At $249 it is $60 more than Bert's Mega mall. I went ahead and ordered sight unseen. Did not feel like cutting the plastic on this SS.

Hope no one got hurt and every one is ok.
Take care gang at CycleSprings, hope damage is kept to a minimum. -
With all the research I did on the Internet
( the Internet is never wrong)
A 4 point harness is not recommended at all
Due to possible submarining.
A 4 point can and will slide up and your beer belly and liver is not as strong as your pelvis
The crotch strap will prevent that.Sorry if I didn't ask clearly I understand the meaning of a 5 point, thanks.
I was wondering what you anchored that strap to ? -
Geez I never noticed she's got boobs!
I never noticed she had eyes
-
here a few pics of my 5 point 3" pro armor harness.
If I had to do it again I would have gotten the 2"Hey Chief, they look good.
What did you anti the anti-submarine (crotch strap) to ? -
To explain why 2” webbing is more effective than 3” webbing, one needs to look at the shape of the human body. The Iliac Crest is the part of the pelvic bone that sticks out above the hips. 2” webbing fits entirely within that crest, where 3” webbing rides over the tips of the crest. The 3” webbing has less surface area by percentage than the 2” webbing which will cause more bruising on impact as “hot-spots” of force develop where the belt is making contact with the pelvic bone. Since the 2” webbing rides inside the crest it can be worn as much as 1” to 2” tighter and at the same time is more comfortable.Since the 2” webbing fits well within the Iliac Crest of the pelvis, it is less likely to slide up above the crest and cause submarining – a condition where the body slides down below the lap belt possibly causing internal organ damage.
Research shows that the faster the pelvis is captured, the lower the resultant loads on the chest, head, and neck. There is no difference in the strength of the 2” webbing. All webbing (2” or 3”) must meet the same load tests.Wraith, thanks alot for the detailed info, much appreciated
Helps out in making a informed decision, thanks -
Sweet, lookin good.
Considering some Pro Armor belts.
Any thoughts on 2" or 3" widths. -
look what came in today...
.How are you liking these so far ? Were they easy to install in the sling ? They look real good.
Did you get the 2" or 3"wide ?
Thanks in advance for the feed back -
Sorry if this is located in another thread, did a search and could not find
Got a question for anyone with PRP seats that has some seude in them.
Does the suede wear ok compared to the other marine grade vinyl ?
Do they stay wet longer or does material get hard after getting wet ?
Are the PRP pullover seat protectors worth it ?
Thanks in advance -
So Sorry to hear this tragic news.
May many thoughts and prayers from you fellow Sling friends reach you at this difficult time.
Please take care Pam. -
