I think it has something to do with maintaining and cleaning our vehicles also. I clean something on mine ever time out and if I heard a noise from the rear I would keep an eye out while wiping her down and like you I have a solid 2016.5 also in the fastest red color, but not near 25k yet. Of course I didn't get mine but a couple months back either. We are headed to Daytona tomorrow for Biketoberfest so that will be a few more miles added.

I agree!!! I have 2016.5 Fast Red also!!! Must be something about that color. No "catastrophic" failures here!!! (KNOCK ON WOOD)

It's hard to hear the boos only because I get to see the hard work the guys put in. I think we may get a win Saturday though Rutgers is really bad. @CDCAMEL6 when you come to town we need to meet up I will give you the behind the scenes tour of the new facilities on the athletic campus.

Would like that. Definitely plan on making a basketball game or 2!!

FlatOut has 2 dealerships in the Indy area. They bought 12 if I am not mistaken at auction. They were all being auctioned by Polaris. They were demos or display types. A gentleman who I deal with that is a motorcycle wholesaler, says that the Slingshot's have a better retained value than most motorcycles. Besides, if you bought a Slingshot to make $, it was a poor decision.

Not getting political here, first off. Just returned home from the Colts game against the 49ers. Vice President Pence was at the game. The Colts were retiring Peyton Manning's jersey and dedicating a statue to him in front of the stadium. Being from Indiana, Pence is a big Colts fan and friend of Mannings. The suite he was in was directly behind and above where our seats are. Several Secret Service agents and such were in all these aisles. When they played the National Anthem, several 49er players took a knee. Immediately after the anthem, you saw all the security stirring. Heard one of them say, the Vice President is leaving. Turned around and looked. Sure enough, the VP was leaving. He later Tweeted about how he could not be part of something that disrespects our country so much!!! Pretty strong statement!!!
In my opinion, as an American you do have the right to kneel. Is it the right thing to do? No!!! The day off in NFL is Tuesday. You have alot of off season time. You also are afforded many resources as a pro athlete. Get out in your community and make a difference that way, instead of doing- LOOK AT ME, LOOK AT ME!!! Solves nothing!!! Besides, if those guys concentrated on playing football, the 49ers might not be 0-5 right now. Maybe those 49er players (the 49ers started all this last year) should ask Colin Kaepernick how this whole thing worked out for him. Sorry for the ramble, not passing judgement, just a thought!!!

I was told by the parts manager at the dealership I purchased my Slingshot at that certain states regulate weight. Can't exceed a certain weight and still be classified as a motorcycle. Not sure if that is true, but you are right. They sure stick to a "magical" weight #.

Last week one of my TricLed headlight conversion lights burnt out. Sent an email on Friday morning about my warranty claim to SlingMods. No questions asked and the replacement light arrived Monday. Just an apology and a thank you for doing business with them. From California to Indiana!!! Doesn't get much better than that!!!

Someone is lying here. Just saying. You can purchase extended warranty up until the factory warranty expires. I was told that the Slingshot cannot have been in an accident that lists it as rebuilt on the title, I assume that is true. Also, the extended warranty may not cover drive train if performance mods have been made. The warranty can be purchased at any location, and used at any dealer. Bigdog you were told this by several members here before. Perhaps you forgot, so here's the place you can buy the extended warranty for $975. Go down to post #4.

    Discounted extended Warranty

@Goats_Hogs is absolutely correct about a vehicle having a "branded" title when it comes to purchasing an extended warranty. Very little discretion about when and where you buy or have the vehicle serviced when you buy an extended warranty. As long as it has a "Clean" VHR. If you sell an extended warranty, it has to be able to be sold until the manufacturer warranty has expired!!! FEDERAL LAW- no questions need be asked!!

I work in the automotive sales end of the business. Federal law HIGHLY regulates both factory and the extended side of the warranty. State laws only supersedes the federal if their laws are tougher. This is rare. Any dealer that gives you a hassle as far as a factory warranty is business "ignorant". They are completely reimbursed by the manufacturer. In most cases warranty repair work pays a better rate than customer repair work. Warranty repair work is rarely challenged by the manufacturer in this day an age of manufacturers running "scared" because of NHTSA mandated recalls & such. They take care of stuff beforehand. Gone are the days of manufacturers doing "campaigns" on vehicles. It is a flatout recall that stays on the VHR of the vehicle forever. If you ever have a problem with a dealer hassling you over warranty work, you have numerous avenues of recourse. Most of which will back the end consumer about 95% of the time!!! As far as extended warranties go, dealers cannot outright "own" extended warranties. This from several lawsuits through the early 2000's. They make big $ off extended warranties. The warranty providers due have the right to have the vehicle inspected if it isn't purchased the day the vehicle is purchased. Again, most don't. Big $ made for both warranty provider and dealer. The dealer makes $ on the warranty each month it is in place unless the consumer cancels or trades the vehicle. After about 24 months the "charge back" period for the dealer has ended. The dealer wants to see you in there with warranty claims. They are making $ on both ends. Sales and service. Sorry about the ramble, but my 2 cents!!!

My favorite gun to carry is the Sig Sauer p229 .40 S&W. Had always carried Glocks. Still love the Glocks, but like the way the Sigs feel and shoot. Always reliable too!!! Not to small and not to big, so easy to stash in a pocket or glovebox.
