Anyone having problem registering for this event? I entered my name but nothing after that. I guess I am having a Senior moment, but what the hell am I missing here?

Thanks IVOR on your decision to waive the $10/$5 fee.

However, on another note, for future SSITS event activities, I still believe there is room for expansion to include more and other diversified activities during the day and evening. I highly recommend that you query the forum/s and get some feedback on what could be added and or dropped. Let us help you on determining activities.

Thanks @ivor for all you do in support of this event. (Time for a group hug)

Gotta agree with Flybuddy on this. I agree with a fee, but only a small one for non-participants. Charging $25 to hang out with owners/vendors p/day or $10/$5 (adult/child) p/day to look around is exorbitant coupled with the fact on how do you keep from knowing which is which. Maybe this is happening already, but in my estimation, after reading this thread, why not have a Slingshot Task Force/council set up for future SSITS events that includes a few folks who have the expertise (i.e. lawyer, business owners, etc) that can provide feedback and recommendations to IVOR in not only fees but what events can be added or discarded. I personally would like to see a dyno runoff for most HP, etc, find a local track set up for grudge races, etc, and/or just fun stuff for laughs. We need more than just rides and a dinner as the main course. Ivor has done a great job in planning this event but who decided on the fees, events etc? In any event, at the end, we need to offer our assessment on what went well and what didn't to SlingshotRoadsters and have an after-action-report provided to participants.

Bottom line is, I appreciate this event and hopefully everyone keeps an open mind and provide constructive criticism so we can continue this event and make it better every year. Personally, if it keeps growing like it has, maybe even a fall SSITS event could be added.

Folks: Helmets are currently required in NC. However, just as a matter of info, I offer the following on what is going on in NC : This is from Raleigh " RALEIGH - Motorcyclists ages 21 and older wouldn’t have to wear helmets under a bill that passed the N.C. House Transportation Committee on Monday. This info was put out on Apr 24, 2017.

Understand that is now has to go to the House Insurance Committee and not sure after that. I have read that if it passes, it will become effective 1 Oct 17.

Folks: Thanks for all your feedback. I plan on running the Natural + Red spring but for added reliability, ARP head studs will be installed now based on your recommendations. Thanks again

Too much vibration without that bracket. I have got to fab up the curved section between the swing arm and the fender mount so that it will clear the exhaust pipe when the swing arm moves up. The exhaust pipe put about a 1/2 inch offset in the bracket before it finally broke. I will get around to it one day and reinstall the fender.

Fun: I got the following message from Jeff Welter. Do you think this will work for us? " I can scoot it closer to the plastic if it's just a straight forward move but changing angles are limited by radius of the tubing Dies therefore the design is pretty much fixed and can't be changed because of the dies and clamps length on the bender". He is going to look at mine in SSITS again this year

Just like to have some feedback on this from you turbo gurus. I apologize if you have seen before, however, after reading many threads, I am still uncertain what spring to use; either the RED spring or Natural + Red spring. However, I feel certain that many of you had this same dilema when installing your turbo or trying to get to your desired boost limits.
    -------------------------------------------------------------

My Question is: What Precision Wastegate Spring do you recommend for a decent and yet reliable boost level for the following setup: (I have been informed from Alpha that the Wastegate spring out of the box came with the RED (5.6 psi) spring). I know staying with the RED spring definitely is reliable as I have been using it for a while now without issues or boost creep but can I go up to the Natural + RED with adding the mods stated below and still be reliable with the extra boost (6.9 psi). I do not intend to change engine internals such as head bolts (OEM engine remains).

-Alpha Stage 1 turbo kit with 2 bar sensor (Already have)
-Alpha turbo side exit exhaust (Already have)

    Adding the following
-1320 performance 2.0 version manifold to replace OEM manifold (Will have soon)
-DDM Slingshot Coolant Re-route with DDM Coolant Tank (Will have soon)
-Center feed fuel rail by DDM
-Will be getting new reflash/tune by Bob

Just to reiterate, can I safely go to the Natural + Red spring in the above setup? Also again, I have no intentions at this time to change any engine internals. I did read somewhere from RABTEC that he would definitely not go above 9 PSI. Just thinking outloud, isn't it unlikely that you would go above 9 PSI with the Natural + RED with a good tune from Bob? Anyway, Thanks guys. See ya in SSITS.

You are getting the idea. The gray bracket is straight, so put and downward arch in it. The exhaust pipe is hitting the bracket and putting an arch in it until it breaks like mine did. By putting that arch in it, the exhaust pipe will not hit the bracket. I hope everything is clear now. I had to go and look to make sure I had that right.

Got it, I think. How does you fender work without the bracket? (i.e. vibration, bend any?). If it works fine without the bracket, that might be the answer or fabricate another bracket around the pipe.

Yep, you are right Assault fender (BRAIN FART). It may work but you would need to at least change the the fender to the left side swing arm bracket. Instead of being straight it would need a curve in it. It would be tight but I think it will work. The curve is to clear the bracket where it will not hit the exhaust pipe when the swing arm moves up and down. This also needs to happen on the standard or NA Welter Dual exhaust pipe.

I am not sure I understand what you mean "least change the fender to the left side swing arm bracket". I am assuming you mean something about loosing up the gray bracket that fits on left side of the fender and curving it back toward the middle (???). Looking at it, the bracket is probably located right now in only the place that it will fit which is the smallest part of the swingarm (skinniest). More than likely, I am missing something here. Just wondering if the gray bracket can be cut a little to miss the pipe when swingarm moves or maybe some type of fabrication.

It works with the Alpha fender, which is what I have on my SS. Checked and installed the Welter Duals at SSITS16

I believe you meant to say that it works with the Assault fender. Alpha does not make a fender. It is also my understanding that only the 2" Welter exhaust will work and glad you are happy with it. I have been told that the turbo/supercharger 2 1/2" exhaust will not work with the Assault fender. I just wonder if anyone has tried it and was were the results (i.e. did it fit and if so, any rubbing on fender).
