Ok, nubie here... as far as Slingshots anyway... I thought if there is only one tire... Can-Am Spyder or Slingshot we were supposed to use a symmetrical tire... not an asymmetrical tire... because of the difference in how those tires handle moving water from the tread area.. Just curious.
I have run an asymmetrical tire (Firestone Firehawk Indy 500's) on the rear for over 20,000 miles. It is the best tire that you could want in the rain and it as been good to me on numerous occasions. The second one is down to the wear bars and there will be a third. I have them all the way around and will stay with them now as long as they are made. That being said, years ago I swore off Firestone's, but for this vehicle, they are my go to. Anyone who knows anything about tires will tell you that there is no reason not to use them, it's all in what the eye perceives.

i am following this...eagerly. waiting for a slick?
You may be waiting a while! This thread is over 2 years old............

Sad......

I'd try the one SlingMods sells with the integrated cup holders, but I don't know if it will hold the heavy insulated aluminum 30 oz cup I use.
It holds them!

isnt the green only on that top of the line grant touring LE version thats like 33k?
Yes
-
I never liked green but this is a pretty color and the whole Sling is green, but it was an auto for a little over $32,000
We saw the green one last week. From the pictures I didn't think that I would like it, but when looking at it, it's a pretty nice Slingshot!

There's only one thing about this that I won't miss, that terrible Rodeway Inn!!!!!!

Haven't seen any posting from others on this subject.
Pretty sure there's a filter out there somewhere that will fit the build. It would probably be built for specs of oil requirement and size.
And hopefully this doesn't rub someone the wrong way...
Very much interested in the 2020 model, manual shift only...
But, relying more on Polaris for their proprietary shit is harder to digest.
As if owning a Slingshot from 2015 and suffering through one or two recalls each year wasn't enough. Throw in the requirements of Digital Wrench rather than OBII
...and hello dealer.
And there are fewer dealers every year!

FunCycle does the new motor he has in his 2020 R use the same filter as our older models?
I would be very surprised if this were the case
It is NOT the same! New motor, new filter.....On the parts listing it says "contact dealer". I know I saw a post somewhere about an aftermarket filter. I'll look around.

And he said he was just making a normal turn.............

Don't keep us in suspense! What was the fair price? The pool has to be paid out.........

I don't know why you are all complaining about the the heat! If you are the lucky owner of a 2020, you could own these, they're only $1199.99 EACH! https://slingshot.polaris.com/…tional/seats/2884290-vba/

I spent some time at Minot North Dakota a few years back. Lots of sunflower fields there. I was amazed at how they appeared to follow the track of the sun. Looking at you picture it appears to hold true. Do they really follow the sun? Great picture!

It's at a car dealer and he wants it off the lot. I'd offer 18k and settle around 19. The gold trim is custom.

Going to ride over for the day on Thurs. (weather permitting). Originally planned to spend most of week there but wife has had a major and minor surgery since end of May and were just not sure how much if any she could ride. Is there a charge to walk into the vendor area? Know last year they charged to drive SS in fair grounds. Looking forward to getting out of house and seeing old/new friends.
I'm not there so I don't know for sure, but if history is anything it will cost something just to walk in.

Don't worry about Bu11sh1t he can keep up
