So what is the plan to get there?
If you posted elsewhere, my apologies but it would be good to post here for others lurking.

@Tango I have posted this before in another thread. This should give you an idea of what I have done and plan on doing.

Well I am not sure if you had seen all the other posts on my slingshot.
You can search the posts the DDM did about the Texas install. They also
installed my friends supercharger kit. You can also find the Drag Slick
    post and 1/4 mile posts.

Back in December just before Christmas Dave with DDM Works installed
Built Motor, Supercharger Kit, Upgraded radiator, Aluminum Surge Tank,
Coolant Re-route, Center Feed Fuel Rail, Smaller Pulley on Supercharger,
Bob ECM Tune, Performance Clutch. That was a huge upgrade from stock. I
loved it. I took it to the 1/4 mile track and the street tire I was
spinning on hard launch. This is not a fault of the Slingshot per say.
It is just a characteristic of the Slingshot with one wheel, light
weight and lots of HP with driver hitting throttle hard to get faster
numbers. So I decided if I am going to get it on the 1/4 mile track then
I should get a track tire. After 3 different rims and tire combos I
ended up with a Racing wheel called Race Star and Mickey Thompson E/T
Drag Slick. It HOOKED!!! No spinning at all!!!

Check out the E/T Mickey Thompson Drag Slick being used on 1/4 mile. Here is video.

So...right away then I started talking with Dave at DDM works telling
him I wanted to go faster actually much faster and part of that would be
more HP. We together along with Jamie Roy @Shot
we decided I needed to go with ability to custom tune my slingshot and
the best choice for me was Haltech ECM along with some additional
    upgrades.

Dave at DDM Works around Jan 10th 2017 had finally got the special Cams
for Supercharged Slingshot and started testing. If I remember right it
produced the same set up I have in his slingshot and Cams with about 380
HP. I knew I wanted the Cam. So that got added to the list of upgrades.

I am also doing some smaller modifications like short throw sifter and the upgraded Swaybar.

We also decided I should go with bigger Supercharger and and some more
upgrades that with the custom tuning we should be over 400 HP.....maybe
    more!

I will keep updated as more happens over the next week or two. If anyone
wants to see it in person. I am in Houston, TX and will be at the Texas
    Hill Country meet.

I agree 100%! I am pro choice on helmets but went to a 4 point harness and wear it faithfully - can't jump off a Sling like you can a motorcycle if you can't avoid an accident.

Hey Bill. Good point about 4-point harness. I am looking into one now. Not to get to off topic here, but if you could share with me what 4-point harness set up you with with would be great. I am ready to buy one and installs as soon as I get my slingshot back from the shop.

At the end of the day, no matter how fat or sticky of a tire you put on the rear, there is only 1 wheel back there. Unless you go with the quad set up of course. Completely stock you can spin the back tire all the way through 3rd gear. There comes a point where HP numbers are strictly for bragging rights but does absolutely nothing for you as long as you can't hook up the rear wheel.

I got mine to hook with a single tire in the back on the racetrack. :)

One thing.....obviously if you wanna spin/burn a tire you can by slamming the throttle full open. They other thing about added HP is rolling at 50 and giving it some gas and pull hard away from those next to you. That's amazing feeling with 280 HP and even more amazing at 330ish HP and I can't wait to try it with close to 500HP!

I finally got to meet Dave from DDM Works on Saturday here in Houston, TX. Back in December 2016 Dave did his magic and took my stock Sling to something faster. However, that was not enough for me.....so now my slingshot is taking a 954 mile trip to South Carolina in Daves trailer for a major surgery!! When it gets back in 3.5 weeks it will be an absolute beast! I will be ready to ride atthe Slingshots in the Texas Hill Country meet! Much more upgrades!!

Dave and his Dad made the trip.

Me saying goodbye for now to my slingshot......
Dave driving away with my slingshot.

Yes, I plan on leaving early Saturday morning and hanging out for the day... only about 3-4 hours away.

Perfect. I will arrive on Saturday as well. I look forward to meeting you and seeing your slingshot! Looks awesome. Stay safe on the roads. From what I understand from talking with Dave when I saw him this past Saturday when I saw him, you have a beast of a machine.

Got my baby back this morning!!!!
    Looks even better in person!!!
Took it out little later to check it out, quick 155 mph and I knew it works for me, it screams!!
    Great job DDMWorks!!!! :thumbsup::thumbup:

Congrats Joe! Now mine sits in the trailer where yours was for the past 13 Hours.

Dave, if you are reading this. Drive safe. It was nice to finally meet you in person this time. :) See you in a month.

@SilverCarbon I really don't mean this to sound like I'm being an ass towards you, cuz that truly isn't how I intend this, but... If you aren't going to call them out, what's the point of even mentioning it here? The problem that I see, is that our fellow Slingers may potentially go through the same heartache and grief because right now, the less than honest vendor is a mystery. The point isn't to gossip or create a mob, but to prevent our fellow Slingers from having to take the same undesired proverbial shaft that you already have taken.

I do not think that was being an ass. I am giving these vendors a chance to follow up. It was more a RANT. Check out the reply I just posted above. It might give you some more insight to the situation and update. The problem is far from being resolved.

I am taking my time to put them on blast as that was not the intention of this post. However, I am doing my part to follow up with questions the replies may have.

However, if anyone else has issues with vendors as I do and if they choose to put the vendors on blast on here in reply to this post. By all means they should if they feel they want to.

I'm glad the op had a positive outcome. It appears the thread was used as a threat to the vendor without burning a bridge and with no benefit to other members on the forum. Since the ploy seems to have worked we run the risk of similar threads in the future.
IMO, every effort should be made via direct communication with a vendor before even considering a negative thread. Obviously you can threaten a negative posting in one on one conversations with the vendor. If no progress made then nothing wrong with posting FACTS. I feel that this type of thread does a disservice to ALL vendors as members are left guessing as to who the bad guy is and are less apt to spend big bucks with someone before figuring out who the perp is. Think how you would personally feel if you forked over 2K to same vendor and had same issue after a post like this. In issues that can't be resolved with normal communication, I think we all would have preferred to see specifics from both customer and vendor to help with future purchasing decisions. Just my 2 cents on what might be a better way to handle in future.

This post was a rant. I was going to leave it at that. However, it turned into more of a discussion and I have every right to post what I feel I would like.

First of all. I run a small business in a niche industry as do these vendors who sell to the Slingshot Niche. I learned really quickly long ago, if you sell something you should follow up on quickly to inquires and especially not avoid those customers who have paid you.

This post was in general my experience with Several vendors. This rant came about because of many contacts before posting a rant with Phone Calls, Emails, Text Messages, Contact though Social Media Private Message. Most people would have gave up and moved on to the next vendor after getting ignored the first time. It was not just one experience with one vendor. This rant was in frustration of those who have poor communication of progress of a project or money spent or wanting to spend with credit card in hand.

Out of the 3 Main Vendors.

One has been in full communication with me and I am not going to put them on blast as they explained themselves to me and I feel we are on right track to completing the project. I will keep yall updated as it pans out.

Second, I had inquired to and followed up with and never got pricing. I went ahead and bought form another wheel supplier. No big deal as there is thousands of people who sell wheels.

Third one....As I described above in a comment. That Vendor horrible communication. I did get a reply again after my last update and he just simply said he is busy. However, in the first conversation he said he had two in stock. Which he is the only one that I know makes this sort of modification. This is why I am forced to wait till he gets his act together. By his own admission to me he says he is having trouble keeping up because can not find talent to grow his business. (I can sympathize with this). However, at least replying to email or calling someone back with an update on when they can get me pricing would be the least I would expect. Ultimately, I do worry that if I put him on blast on here. He will never want to wrap up this project with me and I will be stuck with no option. This is why I hesitate to list the person and company name.

So to finalize, Every Vendor should take this as a lesson that they should follow up with customers. That is super important.

You won't slip the belt. Heat up that slick good and light the VHT on fire and get it sticky. Your weak link is going to be the final drive or the transmission I fear. I hope not. If it last through a bunch of launches then I'll feel better about my setup

Actually I have already slipped my belt with my slick on. Pretty much tore the teeth on belt. Which is a reason why I want to upgrade to a even stronger Chain. I don't just want a chain. I want a strong one to handle the Launch with all this HP I have.

If anyone on here can get me in touch with someone I can buy a chain kit from. I really was hoping I would not have to develop one myself.

@SilverCarbon did this ever get resolved??

Technically this original rant was about more than one vendor actually several.

I will say I am in full communication with one of them and very happy with progress. I do not suspect any further delay and looking forward to finalizing that project.

However, One of them I gave up on and already bought from another vendor. I'm not gonna call him out on it. But, He is on here and he will probably see this post. He will probably go oh crap...he wanted to buy wheels.

There is another vendor after a couple calls, repeated emails and Private messages online. Notta. Today I copied and pasted my emails into a message to him. Trying to get something out of him. He read the message and responded. He said he was getting the info to me right then and to email me. That was Hours ago. Now nothing. Sad thing is our conversation started over a month ago. I still have zero price and specific specs on the project we were discussing. Gosh a month! I physically wanted this part of the project done already. Totally could have been done. But can you imagine if he got me all the info today, I would be very reluctant to pay upfront. I might never get the project done. I hope he responds. Maybe he will see this. He would need to give me a guarantee complete/ship date, for me to go forward with it.
