What boost did you hit?

I know I am not alone anxious to see the one. I hope you get some video of this epic battle!!!

The main reason I think im being held back by the side exhaust is due to it having only one exit. There muffler on the side exit only let's the turbo exhaust pass out of one opening and the other side is the wastegate. Where the original exhaust that dumped out below the SS has an open center section. So you get both 2.5" exhaust ports to breath thru.
Remember Hahn didn't build this system to go all the way to 14PSI. He built it to perform within the parameters of 8.5 PSI.. The side exhaust performance is flawless under those conditions. I am breaking some new ground when I turn the dial up to 14.
One thing I did after talking to @iNewton is put my stock fuel pump back in. I had the Aeromotive pump in it and it seemed to act fine. However when I started upping my boost it started flooding me out.
Now with the stock pump in place and the bigger fuel rail I don't have any issues with running lean.
This maybe good news in not having to switch out the fuel pump. I have the DDM fuel rail and i was amazed how much more volume was in the bar for the injectors.
Will be quite interested in seeing the exhaust difference
Does the WP exhaust have the dual pipe as well? It seems that it is one pipe back to dual tips. Which exhaust has the dual?

To be honest I think I have found the max that the turbo can push. It seems to be topped out at 13.8. I am changing my muffler back to the one that I originally had tonight and see if I can get the flow back up a little. So far I'm thinking the side exhaust is killing my exhaust flow.
@rabtech will be very interested in this testing. Would be interested in @Bill from Hahn RaceCraft Hahn would think or suggest on that. -
What is the biggest spring that DDM has cleared for this engine. Didn't Dave say 400HP?
-
A blue spring!?! Good thing you will be at DDM when the engine goes boom boom boom!!
-
Thanks @rabtech for clearing that up. Would be interested in a normal pull up through the gears to see how fast it moves the needle to compare.
Also are you and @Dave@DDMWorks considering a detailed write up about engine removal and reinstall? I think you had mentioned that. For those of us not close to DDM it would be helpful.

@rabtech. I have watched several of your videos with 12+lbs boost. Seems when you get on the throttle the boost really jumps and you spin. Even side to side movement which seems Un safe. I have considered going the built engine route. I have 7 lb of boost now with the Alpha Stage II. It pulls nicely and I can spin a little even in 4th. So I guess my question is, how much are you having to peddle? It seems listening to the videos when your boost kicks in you are peddling to get out of the boost since it really jumps. How much of that is really useable? How is the driveability? I get that kind of boost is a nice to have, but how much are you getting to your higher boost? At that point how much of it is controlled and propels you forward, not just spin? Not knocking the power. Just wondering if the next step is worth the reality?

God Speed Bill. Your reputation will carry any gaps your concerned

anyone interested in getting together for some Sling cruising? Lots of places to cruise. Hang in Hastings by the river? Cruise through Uptown? Welch Rd. To Red Wing?
You bought it! Drive it. More fun to cruise in packs for sure.
Interest?

Love the camera. What is it?
-
Sounds great. Sign me up!
-
Will the top color only be offered in black?
Will it store onboard for a nice day? -
Hopefully a lot more will be sold in MN as it doesn't seem like there are very many. I have put out the call to see if folks want to go for a cruise on the MN Facebook page and I never get an answer. Hope to see more folks out soon.

@Turbosling thanks Henry. As I stated in my original post hopefully mine is an isolated incident but awareness is never a bad thing
-
@rabtech Would you mind doing a write up? Where and what you wired it to? Also if you could let us know your experience with it and if it is a keeper. I thought quite a few would be interested.
-
I am curious to know the wiring. What your experience is? I can see these being a huge benefit. Do you like it?

The Home of WERKSracing products! The WOT Box adds two major features to any car. They are No-lift shifting and 2-step launch control. Both of these features are completely user-programmable using the WOT Box Graphical User Interface.
The No-Lift Shift feature makes no-lift shifting easy by cutting your engine's ignition for a very short period while you no-lift shift. No-lift shifting is keeping the gas down through the shifft. The ignition cut allows the synchros in your transmission to mesh easily, reducing the chance of missing a gear and damaging your transmission. Keeping your foot down through the shift also allows you to hold boost through the shift, thereby significantly improving your E.T.
The major benefits are:
Lower ETs
Reduced chance of missing a gear
More consistent, effortless shifts
Reduced wear on the transmission
Reduced chance of major transmission damage
The 2-Step Launch Control modulates the ignition by cutting power to individual ignition coils to hold the RPM you want to launch at. The turbo will spool up while you do this. You can use this feature for a more consistent and more powerful launch in boost!
