Will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Don't give up hope. Read below what happened to me. Its hard to believe, but I swear its true.

From birth to age 25, on three different occasions (each separated by a number of years), my parents were told that I wouldn't make it and say goodbye.

On one occasion, while in a coma, my heart stopped and I had to be defibrillated 3 times and an injection of Epinephrine directly into my heart. Upon coming out of it, the Drs. changed their prognosis and said I would survive but I would have severe brain damage (meaning a vegetable).

Its 41 years later, I am retired (Im 65). I have a great wife and twin daughters age 7. I have had 2 successful careers, one in the clothing business and the other in IT. I am completely self taught (in IT) and I retired from Microsoft.

Moral of the story, don't stop hoping & praying.

    To everyone in Dorian's path....

The apparent inability of the forecasters to accurately report the where & when Dorian will hit simply astounds me!

Ive spent the last 3 days executing my hurricane plan (waiting on line to fill my gas cans with 40 gallons of Gas, finding & purchasing gallons of water & canned goods, putting up those ridiculous aluminum shutters, etc., etc, etc.).

Its almost panic here in S. FL, Every store is out of D batteries, no bottled water available, & if you do find it, you are limited to 2 cases.

All for what appears to be a completely wasted effort.

Pardon my ranting- its just I cvaould have been out ridding my SS in beautiful weather.

Enough of that! More importantly, l hope we all get through this safely!

Baking in the South Florida sun (real feel 123 today) while driving, naturally I need to keep hydrated.

My standard cup holders always seem to have miscellaneous stuff in them leaving little room for a bottle of something (Gatorade & Vodka......just kidding about the Vodka) to drink.

My SS sits parked next to my bicycle and one day the idea hit.

I removed the cup holder from my bike and mounted it under my right leg on the drivers side. It works great- easy to reach and out of the sun.

    See picts.

    Safe riding

    Hey Ghost,

Here are a couple of tips when cutting Lexan or any plastic....That is if you don't already know them.

    1. Put a piece of painters tape over the length of the cut

    2. Keep spraying water as you cut. It prevents the plastic from melting

I learned the hard way after ruining too many pieces that I care to admit

    Hope this helps.

    Agree-

    Degrease carefully.

    Wipe it down with alcohol

Prime with Rust-oleum followed by Rust-oleum rattle can paint

Still looks great after 2 years.

    Noted- & thanks,

But I want new seats, steering wheel plus the shocks.

I'm on the fence since I've seen brand new 2018 SLR on ebay from a Polaris dealer in the $25K price range.

As I said, its a bug. I probably wont do it but at 2.99% interest, it got me thinking

    Hi Everyone,

    I currently own a 2016.5 SL with 4,300 miles. In terms of Mods, I have a few and I know they don't add much to the value. I have;

    Wing

    Lots of LEDs

    Extended battery terminals

    Hidden Whistler radar detector

    Always on rear cam

    Paramount 2.0 fender

    Fuse box

    Mats

Mint condition, dealer serviced and up to date. Always garaged, never driven in the rain

I have a bug to upgrade to either a 2018 or 2019 SLR with Bilstein shocks. The promotion on a18 is 2.99% for 60 months, 5 year "limited warranty" or $2,000 rebate.

The MSRP with the shocks is just under $32K.

My question is what is a realistic price? How much of a discount off the msrp should I expect?

    Thanks for the guidance.

    Ride safe,

    Barry
