How much does your dealer charge for 15,000 mile service?
Thanks.
How much does your dealer charge for 15,000 mile service?
Thanks.
Thanks for the input, I thought about it but didn't know if that Sparco knob can be take taken apart. I will do some research. Thanks brother
Based on @Maverick5990s post @Jimmy540i, I think you could do the sparco with your leather... Just like the stock knob works with the stock boot (like Maverick5990) and the leather boot (like yours)...
Makes sense?
I just realized there are 2 versions of the Sparco Shift Knob (different material / look / boot), I wonder why......
Check this out (Version 1 is currently on the Polaris' website):
most likely the brake sensor, I had the same experience and the light NEVER came back after the dealer swapped a new sensor.
Best of Luck!
Display MoreGather round boys and girls I have a story to tell...first off I'm the kind of person that notices things most people don't, I'm a "what if" kinda guy I like to take answers to questions to the extreme. In case you haven't noticed...and I like to connect dots from things and stories that you would never see a connection to...
That said before I tell you my story about how helicopter tail rotors and slingshot brake systems are connected I have a few questions I need answered by people that actually know the answered because you know or have done these things...if you don't know the answer I don't want any guesses or conjecture.
I need specific facts...
#1 the banjo washers...what are they copper, rubber or what?
#2 I know you are not supposed to reuse the washers, has anybody reused them successfully?
#3 have you ever cleaned the sensors and put them back in and have that work without tripping the failure light?
#4 was the mysterious black stuff metal particles or rubber or could you tell what it was?
#5 was you brake fluid exceptionally dirty with mysterious black stuff or metal particles?
Ok get back to me so I can finish my story...
what's the advantage of installing a short shifter?
DDM short shifter complete with stainless knob
Thanks, If the Sparco only comes with the knob (less boot), then its a no brainer. It's hard to give up my current boot, u think?
Sparco!
Guys I am having a hard time deciding in between keeping my current shift knob set-up:
1. Keep my current look (OEM Knob with Aftermarket Boot with Red Stitching which I LOVE
or
2. Go with this (OEM Sparco which comes with its own boot):

Let me know your thoughts?
Anyone who has the #2 set up on your SS please feel free to post a picture
1 or 2?
Thanks.
an unrelated topic, is it me or that shift knot looks better & better every time I look at it
Looks like one of the main reasons it won't fit is because the start button and the toggle buttons have been moved in the 2018 model - they're now down below the infotainment system area.
It may also need other connections that are not present in the pre-2018 models, I don't know.
Thank you for the pix
i feel you dawg :-), tried it once & felt same wind-effect as riding the middle one:
Display MoreI did to try it to see if it had a "motorcycle feel" last year.
Wow that sucked!
It felt like a person standing on my chest after 40 mph.
no fun!
<<<<<<< My profile pic was taken during the ride! LOL
Joking aside @Jimmy540i thanks for the notification. Never hurts to be informed and share.
These guys are just having some fun with you.
all good, no harm done
Checked my VIN on the Polaris Recall Website and found out there's another recall. It's regarding to the Rubber Grommets on the Rear Swingarm, you can check yours here (simply enter your VIN):
On-Road Product Safety Recalls - Search by VIN
Dealer stated that they have to check the swingarm to make sure the rubber grommet is not missing. If its there then I am good. If the rubber grommet is missing, they have to order & install. Inspection takes 2 seconds & installation is very quick, the rubber grommet pop into place without any disassembly required.
Here's a picture of where the rubber grommet located:
Thanks and ride safe
same to you & all
Cool. Thank you so much.

Nice Ferrari Scuderia Shields I have them on my SS too. May I ask what's your F-Car?
