Nice to meet you guys also!!
It was a great turnout again this year!!
I had 19k miles on mine when that happened....
Yea, wife and I went on cruise early last year and out of blue, I couldn’t downshift without hitting 3rd gear first, could have kept driving it but I like to downshift a lot and it kind of sucked!!
Sadly, I do, and if I have to pony up to replace my transmission, I'll probably go that route, but let's see first.
I'll likely yank it over the winter and attempt to replace that synchronizer first, if a fluid flush and refill doesn't miraculously fix it.
Not a good chance trying to repair it, dealer tried for weeks to get it apart, they finally gave up and put a new trans in it...
No problem at all with Dealer, the Synchronizer has nothing to do with engine power.
There have been a few that have had this issue with 4th gear synchronizer going out.
Yup!!!! Had that happen last year, dealerhas to install me a new transmission under warranty!
Of course they crossed my oil lines and locked up my built engine , they did pay for a new one.
4th gear synchronizer will go out, seems like a weak link in its design.
So, I ask again, will it fix the problem many of us have or make it worse. An even faster stumble upon punching throttle might just hurt the engine.....Idk, but would like to know if there is an answer....
And yes, when it falls on it’s face..... that sucks!
I got pretty good at catching it a quickly letoff and punch it again but it still kind of a bummer
JoeF. when was the last time you had the re-flash? Mine would just about die and fall on its face every once in awhile when on some spirited shifting. Bob came out with an updated tune late last year. I have not had that or the hung revs since.
I think DDMWorks did the last flash when I got Cams last year.... I need to ask I guess if they ever had the fix for that, hate when it happens, usually people around and it sounds crappy!!
Well, some of us have that issue when we hit throttle and engine sputters until we let back off and punch it again and it goes like normal, I wonder if this would hurt or help that issue...?
Mine has done that since brand new and have had many flash upgrades as I improved engine add on’s and it’s still there
I have been using my same technique for 2.5 years now, drilled small hole at rib and put a zip tie through it and zipped it just enough to make a loop, the I use another tie to go through that and around bottom of bolt for hoop pad, and tighten it up. When I need to open good, I just cut lower zip tie , and use a new one when I’m done. I carry about 25 in my glove box and small set of wire cutters, took complete care of my imaginary fender flapping.👍
Nice lights!!
I use hot glue gun for things like you used silicone, dries in seconds and it’s waterproof also, so your but connects you could use that on ends to seal them up also.
I’m gonna look at those LED lights now!👍
Any updates to this product?
Can you match the P.M. with a rapid foot slam?
Always do!!!!
I think one huge advantage to 4 wheels on the SS would be driving in the rain.... it’s hard to avoid ponding in heavy rains with 3 wheels, I know as I have been through a lot of storms, never seems to fail I catch 1 wheel hitting a deep spot and makes ya tighten up in seat area!
So, what is the best thing to make the plastic shiny??
Oops, sorry, wrong thread....
Took a second to realizes Howie M. was driving a SS as he pulled up to auditions on TV, first time I ever saw an SS on TV..... pretty cool!
Good to know, that’s why I was just thinking about doing it, not actually done it,I never use cruise but hate having the red light come on n randomly....
I have been toying with idea of jump wiring the sensor connectors, since most of the people who have this issue would not know if they had a brake problem anyways....
Prolly didn’t need the Sway Bar stops with other parts I installed but since I had them....👍
