On Plus side it sounds repairable
On the sucks side that is a big nut - is any of covered by insurance or Polaris?
@FunCycle your dilemma has inspired me to start making a removable mount for a winch in my trailer.
Started cutting and grinding today. Have to leave in the morning so I won't get everything welded until next week
That looks like what they are submitting to State Farm. I do not know how I missed that, total is $4,511.97 I will be calling them tomorrow.
$4,152.80 for parts and $4,511.80 is the total for repairs at Mall of Georgia Indian in Buford, Georgia
Guess the rest of us are not cool enough to know.
Yeah @kenny_h - what's with all the double top secret stuff?
Guess the rest of us are not cool enough to know.
That is the radiator support bar in front of the motor which also ties the frame together to stiffen it.
So now the factory ones are sub par?
This is the bar that Rist Rocket was making a heaver replacement for, to help keep the frame from flexing kind of like the under hood bar that they make for the Mustangs and the Camero's
Guess the rest of us are not cool enough to know.

Raining here again and 81 degrees
@Dave@DDMWorks you better not be concocting some sort of strut after you made fun of me for mine!
@MACAWS the way you did it is the cheapest and it works just as good, The trouble is getting it out to do this.
I have a super turbo.
14 to 18 psi depending on my mood
Yes Bobby everyone should know by now
@MACAWS if you add everybody that is faster than you to your hate list you won't have many people to send Christmas cards to....
SO RIGHT!
Are you sure some don't already!
I am glad you said that because I was a fixing to, you just beat me to it.
Appreciate the clarification. In my case the nuts are not rotating on the axle. It is the entire axle that is rotating.
If the axle is not rotating then you are not moving.
Thanks for the quick reply. Did not think it should be but the response from the dealer was that it could happen...... Not sure where to go from here
Read my response again at post 256, I reread your question and did an edit on my reply
Will start posting in here since the question comes after just having the recall completed. My base did not have the double axle nut prior to now. When I picked it up yesterday the dealer put marks across both nuts and onto the swingarm. When I arrived home after a 2 hour ride it appears the entire axle has spun with the nuts still locked in place. Should the axle be rotating?
Yes, the axle will rotate, but the nuts should not rotate on the axle. The belt pulley is splinned onto the axle on the one end and the tire/rim bolted to the other.
I'm still researching replacement parts online. I found another bent bracket on the front last night during my first major inspection since I returned home from Co. Since the team at Welter used bulletproof zip ties on the repair job I'm still able to drive it any chance I get. I do intend on coming back next year and running the course again!! Although I think I'll let Kasey do her run first just in case I get a little crazy again.
I like the Avatar, If I knew how maybe I should put up one of my current pictures as Avatars.
FC...did you ever get any resolution with Polaris or Allstate? Good luck with repairs
I have a case number with Polaris and State Farm, the Sling is at Mall of Georgia in Buford, Georgia as of yesterday. I will be calling them this afternoon if they have not called me.
Hey, I know that place! I think they have worked on at least one of each color.
Here
Yes, that is it. You can use for many different things and even on screw pipe.
I think most is already on this thread. I really do not know what happened, either I drove straight thru the turn or the SS would not turn left. I have done the would have - could have - should have - a thousand times in my head and we were running about 50 to 55 mph
If you use the stuff I am talking about, the nuts will not vibrate off, even if you pull off and put back on.
@Goats_Hogs different sets of pictures on here #176 - 179 - 144
