    Thanks so much for all the help with the tear downs and installs Painter and Dennis, even Slingrider who was so busy organizing the Savanah Strong Event took time to stop over and help out , A lot of Donny's friends showed up and it was great to see everybody again


    SlingLow, nah, it's a 70 mph Slingshot, looks great going by at that speed but get any closer and you;ll see its full of battle scars , nicks and bruises, it lives with me in the body shop and its had so many things developed on it and sometimes road tested to destruction , another aw shit ! moment . When I arrived at Maggie valley Mitch and Noel Hughes spied me in the trailer parking lot and came over before I even had a chance to rinse off 750 miles of dollying through pouring rain most of the way uncovered, so Im sure they were saying under their breath ,why the hell would he show up here with it looking like that ! lol. It is what it is.

    Thanks for the ideas wokka, used the front half of a ZZP Rear Exit kit and I had to customize the back end myself as the original plus 1 kits had the same top cross bar issue yours had. However on Our new V2 Plus 1 chassis I moved that top tube rearward so the Factory ZZP Dual Tip Rear Exit will now fit without modifying as not everybody wants to mess with the 14 welds and three v bands neccessary to mod the way I did this one . Kyle is sending me the original dual tip section now and Ill pull that upper lower tail cone fairing to show how easily the stock ZZP Rear Exit will mount right up with the new V2, Plus 1 Quad Kits.

    Kev, there was a FB post from Jared Henderson "Polaris Slingshot Owners" group from June 5th that someone found your phone. Posted to ask anyone that knew you there to tell you to get a hold of your daughter since the guy that found it called her. I assumed that they had linked up with you in Maggie Valley before you headed back. Hope you can get your phone back.

    yes , thanks, about five minutes after i gave up and hit the highway home without any communications it was found and they were posting about trying to reach me before i left, But I didnt find that out till i got the 750 mile drive in lol , It was a good ol guy that found it and scrolled through my contacts and saw one titled Dad, so he called it and sure enough Mom said well that must be kevins phone and got the word out via my daughter , who then reached out via facebook and DFK and Kaytwo were kind enough to put the word out around the maggie crowd , but alas five minutes after I hit the road without it . .

    AND YOU WANT TO KNOW SOEMTHING ELSE COOL ABOUT TIMS QUAD? the next time you see one of the coolest Slingshots, He'll be sporting one of the coolest windshields lol ,

    lol chavey2 if you are talking about that lime squeeze one with those monster mickey thompson's you're right its an absolute work of art . I would post one of the many pics I took of it here but they're still in my phone lost on the damn Rattler someplace . . and now I find out any pics you take while roaming on data don't sync until you get back home on wifi so I don't even have the cool pics DER took of me and my sexy quad kit , wait slash that , sexy and Kev don't belong in the same sentence lol

    Slinging_in_TX here's a simple chart that will show you what happens to rpm at a given cruise speed with the different rear end ratios , Say you normally cruise at 70 mph , you can see a stock SLR slingshot (3:65) will cruise about 2300 RPM where as a 3;45 will be just below 2200 and the 3;27 just below 2100 rpm So really while not a lot of difference, the most popular (and economical) Plus 1 seller(3:27) will fetch the best gas mileage, and with a little added power you can blast up through those rpm ranges in a heart beat. but even without boost, gearing down will blast you through the 2100 t0 2300 rpm range in the blink of an eye.


    I ran the Trak Hamr almost a year, before the Camaro based packages came out , though it is not charted here , the 3:73 would cruise at 70 mph at about 2340 rpm . I now run the 3;45 LSD In one of our new V2 Plus 1 kits. While the same Camaro based package, the new sleeker V2 chassis manufactured in house, allows us to control availability , currently 3 to 4 weeks
