Ghost , Tim, are you planning on putting the next size larger supercharger? Or is the built motor something you wanted to do? Those new cams are really pretty awesome in the torque department for sure. You gonna like em!
Happy belated Birthday!

Happy belated Birthday!
I’m doing well Boomer thanks for asking. I don’t believe we will make it this year. Gotta save all my energy for Maggie Valley. Might try to ride over to Houston next month for their get together.
Rob the Slob are you kinda sayin you don’t like Fords or his trailer was just too heavy?
Boomer that is a Jeep not a Ford. Br4hm4 had mentioned his Jeep Gladiator.
Bill Martin you're doing this wrong buy high and sell low. You are welcome.
I was following the Bronco for a bit. I decided to get the Gladiator. I have been really happy with it. Honestly...it makes me smile more than the slingshot does. It's extremely functional and plenty of space for the family.
I saw this posted on Facebook so you really don’t know what happened. Someone said that the owner installed the wrong length shocks.
You know if it is on the internet it’s got to be true.
You didn't mention supercharging but.......... I have been supercharged boosted for over 3 1/2 years and have had ZERO issues bouncing off the rev limiter. Supercharging gives you predictable linear boost. If you start out with the stage 1 105 mm pulley you will have 285 reliable predictable horsepower.
Like I said I started out with the 105 mm pulley, then the 100 mm pulley, then the 95 mm that was putting out 300 plus hp. Just recently I had DDM install some stage 3 cams and now I am at 351 hp. That is all my stock engine wants. More horsepower will need a "built" engine.
When you get your Sling drive it around for a good while, maybe figure out which direction you want to go. Like MACAWS said "go boosted it make slinging more fun"
I have never seen these hood buttons before. If you have written this up in a previous thread can you reference that for me? Or perhaps when you get a chance elaborate on them please.
Might try here SoCal . If that doesn't take you there search "hood buttons".
Long time to load here also.
Happy Birthday Angie. Hugs and kisses! Hope you will have a great day tomorrow.
If you are not at the original height you will need to realign the front
FunCycle is correct on that as you lower the ride height you will change the camber. Doc&Ruby have you tried adjusting the compression on your coilovers? I have the QA1 setup also. Down here in coon ass land on our rough roads with very little curves I run the back at 2 clicks and the fronts at 4 clicks. When I get to ride twisted roads I will increase the number of clicks till it feels good.
I also have the Baker air wings on my stock ripper windscreen. They help mostly in the cool weather to stop the cold wind to shoulder and arm. They also direct the airflow in the summer.
FunCycle , Gerald that map is just the top 15 most American built cars.
Sorry, but the idea of an "American Car" is pretty much obsolete. Car companies are all multi-national now. Designers from America, Germany, Italy, Sweden, and many other countries design it. Assembly is wherever the company can get the best tax breaks and labor rates - this is often very much a political process, not an engineering decision. Once components are built, engines, interiors, drive trains, they are shipped to a convenient location to be assembled. This process lets the advertising boys to say "Built right here in America!!!" and other such guff.
Just look for a good reliability record, good value for your money. Average and "economy cars" have the features people used to pay lots more for in a luxury car. Hyundai is a leader here, they put lots of tech in their basic models that you used to have to shop BMW or Mercedes to get your hands on just a few years ago.
Competition is great, but name plates on cars mean less than ever before.
Agree 100% Doc&Ruby its been that way for several years. Here is a map of “the most American cars”
Drill instructor? Where at? Cav?
No I wasn't a DI. I was in the 2nd/17th Cav unit with the 101st. UH-1H Huey crew chief .
I don't wear cowboy hats but I do have a Stetson. Wore it in the Army.
Here is a picture or mine.
Happy Birthday Phil.
The HANS device was invented in the late 80’s. The device did not go over well at the time. Around 1990 the device went to the public. F one tested with them and airbags and the HANS was better than the airbag system. Oddly enough NHRA was the first to mandate the HANS. NASCAR had three basilar skull fracture deaths in 2000 and then Earnhardt in 2001. Four deaths in an eight month period. Earnhardt said he wouldn’t wear one because he was afraid he would get hung by all the straps. Mark Martin said he wasn’t going to wear one and he would just keep his fingers crossed. After Earnhardt’s death the HANS and full face helmet was mandatory.
Way to go Dave..... guess I gonna be talking with Angie soon.
