rabtech.. what was the final word? are you still smoking?
-
Yup what everyone else has said. Remove 1 install 1. Follow that diagram. I went back after 1k miles and checked on torque spec. Some worked themselves loose about 1-2 ft lbs
-
@rabtech we did both shorten our oil return line. Maybe if we kept a long curved line it would of helped out?
-
Looks good rab. Too bad I don't have that hole drilled and tapped

Great thread! So I'm going to be installing my Alpha Turbo very soon, should I be worried about this or bring it up to Alpha?
If you want although it's my understanding not everyone of them does this. This is what puzzles me
-
Good luck bro. Thx for taking the lead on this for us. I hope it works out for all of us! Thanks for doing what you do for the community!

Any progress today rab.

Hope it works out rab. I'm highly anticipating for a fix!! Besides I don't want @MACAWS calling me smokey no more.
-
The thing that puzzles me the most is why doesn't all the alpha guys have the issue that's running same or very similar setup.

@VIPNiSS - Hey Smokey
This may be for you scroll up!THanks for tagging me. You have no idea how much this irritates the hell out of me and I been trying to chase the problem. @rabtech described my exact issue. During cold startup it was fine and never smokes. I do smoke a little when I am at a stop light and get on it from a stop. However the most smoke is when I turn off the bike and fire it back up after going in to a store or filling up gas. It's a big cloud of smoke and then goes away. My initial thought was I was letting it idle too long before turning off to cool turbo. I used to idle for about a minute or so but cut that down to about 30 seconds and same thing. I'm looking forward to rectifying this with the knowledge of this group. Thx rabtech and all the contributors to hopefully fix this issue once and for all.

I am still unsure completely of the facts but from what I gather we had a fellow enthusiast die or was suppose to die yesterday. His name is Rémi Ouellete and he built a one of a kind slingshot for show/movie apparently. He lives in Quebec and was facing stage 4 colon cancer and has been battling it for awhile. He was apparently set to get an lethal injection yesterday and from what I gather he was denied maybe? Now coincidentally yesterday his slingshot was wrecked and burned so bad they couldn't recognize the body. I sure hope he didn't decide to go out this way. So sad...

I would like to hook one up and push 17psi though it!
You should put this in your passenger seat and push 17psi thru it....

I have a set of halos I've been meaning to install. One question; what adhesive are you guys using to attach the halos to the headlights? Mine don't have the 3M tape rings.
I used some 3m tape and just cut it countoured to the halo. I also used the 3m adhesive primer stick before installing
-
I highly recommend these. Made the job so much easier!!!!
-
Yup. Was the look I'm going for. I have the white sling so I thought it would look good. I think it will look even better once I get my Canadians and add another red halo on it
