Those brackets were offered here too... Is it @Red???
They are worth their weight in gold!

Glad you will be covered @SlingLow. That is a nice engine bay. Pull all that stuff out of there.
Should he leave that rusted nut/plug/what'cha'macallit? HAHAHAH
Decided to rattle can the wing using the textured black (Rust-Oleum P7220) I used to match all the alpha parts. Should be finished and installed this weekend!
Isn't the SS at your preferred dealer? If I were you, I'd head over and swap out all the usable parts I could. Pretty common practice. Then still claim $3K for aftermarket parts you can't switch out. God knows it only takes a part or two to rack up a $3K SS mod bill.
I don't have a stock intake to try to keep the CAI.
I can send that. I'll never go back to it.
Edit: If you have one of them lame CAIs installed I recant my offer. If you have the Hahn or Alpha, offer stands.
No fair, in Michigan we don't get to do "-", only letters and numbers. Your plate looks great @ericastar76.
CA either... All we get is a silly star or heart. Meh.
Oh it's going down! It's looking like August.
Oh yeah!
^ Your SS looks like it is raising it's eyebrow in disbelief!
@SlingLow - we're glad you're here!!!
Ditto Tripoon! Damn auto-co-wrecks
@SlingLow I transferred here full time a month ago. Though I signed up when I first purchased my SS. My excuse for taking so long to become active here was the forum layout early on. I flat out didn't like it and went with the easier one.
I noticed the darkside was getting quiet, and checked here... I was shocked to find the layout improved and it was now user friendly (for the most part) and I ain't 'goin back there other than every blue moon.
Sorry to hear it is totaled, but honestly you didn't want a repaired vehicle. Best to get a new one. Be sure to remove all the mods you can. if you need any missing stock parts, call me. I have a stockpile and willing to send some to further your addiction.
Head up friend!
If I was set on a static drop or adjustability, I would give the vi-king triple (or double... depending) adjustable coil overs a serious look. Quotes I got for three shipped for the SS were less than $800. Hard to beat.
These are used in many other street applications and come highly recommended by other car enthusiasts.
I vote air ride!
Originally I has happy with the stock suspension. The more seat time I have, the more I desire a better ride. It is harsh, rigid and fairly unpleasant.
I weigh 170# and ride mostly solo.
Even with the added weight of mods in the SS, it hasn'nt helped.
Congratulations!? Now put your money where your text is.
Might consider the new SLR seats to replace your stock ones. I am totally loving mine. Paid less than $600 and was a quick install.
I added the passenger seat relocation bracket a forum member from the dark side offered and my passengers are satisfied with the extra recline ability.
Best off all they are water-proof/resistant as the original stock ones. I tend to get caught in rain and the thought of non water resistant seats smelling is a big turn off.
Make it so! Standing by for the finished project.
Totally dig that! Waiting for a west coast take over... LA or SF would be rad!
Takes someone really special to steal a Slingshot and then park it in front of their residence 5 miles away. LMAO.
Cool video. That SS sounds electric as I hardly hear an exhaust.
Took the wing to an auto body place I trust. They quoted $500 to repair and paint it gloss black to match my SS. The tech at the body shop noted the finish on the wing as sold (black texturized) is not going to hold up well. It is the rubberized texture and any scrapes will knock off the texture, not to mention will be difficult to clean. After realizing it was the rubberized texture and not like the Line-X stuff, I was no longer considering sending the wing back to Underground Autostyling to have them repair it with the same finish.
The body shop tech recommended I strip it down, back fill the dings with super glue and prep it for paint myself to save a ton of $$. That is exactly what I did. Worked like a charm aside for the removal of the texturized coating. That stuff is nasty and it just gums up 120 grit sand paper.
So now I am shopping around for paint quotes to get this to match the SS.
Spoke with the crew at underground Autostyling today. They have given me options to consider. Have it repaired locally for a $50 refund or ship back to them on my dime and they will ensure it is like new and sent back out with appropriate packaging this time.
They were rather apologetic and stated they had a few damaged in the past few weeks shipped via UPS and have rethought their whole packaging concept and made appropriate changes.
Getting some repair/repaint quotes and will decide on a path forward. At this point I am pleased with the service despite the inconvenience.
LMAO... I love this place. Now can we all get a round, its @Miller Time ???
