Not sure the wife would approve of this picture, but it's a good one of me, don't you think?
Oh, I'm the one in the middle...

Hey I just figured out how to get more points. I liked my own post Actually did it by mistake and took it back but maybe that shouldn't be allowed, lol.
If you show your "Professional" level at Starbucks & give them $10, you will get a cup of coffee!!! (No change back)
Thanks @Tripod I didn't realize there were perks that went along with the status! Any massage parlor discounts, like upgrades maybe?
Just noticed on Fleabay a new 1320 perf header and gasket set for $200 USD. Whaaaaaat?
There ya go @Shaun, start collecting those parts! Bought but never installed, good deal!
I am not sure but I think it is based on number of posts!
100 then 200 - I think - really just guessing
Thanks @MACAWS but I think it took 300 points for me to go from Beginner to Student. Just not sure about the rest of the levels.
@rabtech Forgive me if this has already been discussed or there is a sticky somewhere. I did search but could not find the information. What is the Trophy Point structure to attain the various levels, such as student, intermediate, etc.?
Thanks
Also have a brake kit in the making that may be a bit overboard. LOL
Brakes - you have my interest as long as we can get them inside stock base wheels and I don't have to spend $3500
I'm all ears, would love a brake upgrade!
I absolutely hate my short shifter. It's hard to shift and it feels like it's never in the right gear. I find myself putting it in and out of 1st a bunch of times at a red light. It just feels so different. I will say that it does exactly what it says it does. It makes the pattern tighter. But it does so at a cost. The leverage point is higher and it's harder to change the gears.
@rabtech you might try a weighted shift knob. I have read that the extra weight gives additional leverage. Mine is a Blox stainless steel with added weight, think it is about 450 grams.
I will not be throwing it hard in the corners as much as some of you young'un are doing.
LOL, haven't been called that in a long time. Matter of fact been hearing that I'm an old man from the wife so much lately I'm starting to believe it.
is this something any vendors carry? or is this strictly from polaris? and does anyone have these and will my stuff for SSITS fit in these??
For the money I would recommend these.
Givi EA 100 Easy Range Large Saddlebags. You get two for $142.99 at Motorcycle Superstore. Come with attached velcro straps to attach them and rain covers. They are expandable and hold 28 to 35 liters. I got a pair and love them.
Great pictures and videos guys really makes me wish I had been there.
I wont be hitting the corners fast anyway.
Awe come on, that's where the SS really shines in my opinion! Come in hard and nail it on the way out, it's a blast.
Twenty Two? I must be going blind..
Yeah, if you go to the main forum page and scroll down, on the right hand side there is a list of who has the most eggs. I think maybe they already got them all!
.....any tips for a quick, flawless install?
Just take your time and be very careful when installing the NRG hub making sure the wheels are straight. Mine must be off by a tooth because my wheel slightly off center when driving straight down the road. The wiring for the horn should just plug in from one piece to the next, should be fairly obvious once you have it apart.
Many will say Turbo, but for me that's too much bang and too much bucks. I just went with the non-aspirated upgrades, CAI, header and better exhaust, maybe a future tune. Tossed in some shocks for better cornering and at some point better tires. Enough bang for me and more reasonable bucks.
I've only found one! Noticed a couple guys have twenty-two. Not sure if they are still out there or not.
In the rain, I'll take two wheels over three. On two wheels the contact patch changes with lean angle, on three you have what you are dealt.
That is certainly not what I wanted to hear. One of the reasons I got the SS was because of a close call, on a curve, in the rain with my Harley. I guess I'll be one of those pulling over and waiting the rain out.
My heart is saddened by this news. Though I did not know Jim or Pam I truly feel as though I have lost a family member. Pam my heart cries for your loss, please get well soon and carry on as I'm sure Jim would want. Our prayers are with you and your families. May you rest in peace @JimM
You mean because of my indoor & outdoor toilets & my hot tub?!?!
What kind of soup ya makin there @Tripod
How much is that going to set you back Astrolite?
I thought I was going to get a better deal than what it actually ended up. Best Buy will, and did, match Amazon's prices which saved me some money. But then, because they were matching Amazon's price, they tagged on $119 installation fee and then there is an additional $60 installation fee for each sensor. All said and done about $525. If I was going to do it over I might go with the Scorpio alarm and install it myself for around $425. The Scorpio installation instructions look much easier than the Viper.
