Whats also interesting is that with the $600 per week the stimulus added to state unemployment many people will get more not working than they did before - - in California the max weekly unemployment is $450 add to that the $600 per week from the fed and you are getting $1050 per week - which equals $54,600 per year - and when you figure there is no tax taken out upfront you would have to make even more at your regular job to have the same amount available to spend
and in some States the max weekly minimum wage is even higher than California's $450
It's actually better than that, no expenses for gas to get to work or child care.

Before covid-19: Don't use harsh chemicals, find environmentally friendly and natural products. Save the planet.
After covid-19: Nature is trying to kill me where's the bleach and purell. Save the people. -
Lots of folks hot in the ass about a card allowing you to go somewhere. A card that allows you to travel how sinister. Put it next to your drivers license if your driving, passport if your flying, union card if you're work or vaccination record if you're going to school.

Interesting to watch the blame/credit shift as the threat starts to subside. It happens in both sides but the most glaring this morning came from some governors. The one's yelling loudest for Trump to issue a national stay at home order are saying he can't tell them when to reopen the economy in their state. I think it's safe to say nobody in a position of leadership was prepared for a pandemic but they all prepared to blame somebody else.

80° last week, 26° with 30mph winds last night. Mother nature is bipolar and off her meds.

If this was a drill that an enemy was totally prepared to observe Us say like with a worldwide pandemic you knew was coming. And had all of your military observation equipment On line ready To collect all this data in real-time.
We just exposed secret military satellite orbits, code words and passwords, military supply routes, gave them secret military targets, civilian targets, OPSEC,
Air to ground communications ( frequencies) , ship to shore communications, ship to ship comms, ship to satellite comms, satellite to satellite comms, air to air comms, troop readiness, supply readiness, reserve readiness, emergency response readiness. how to kill our economy and how long it took.
Observe our food supply to Kill our food supply. Our ability to feed the population. Feed Our war machine
See the medical community response. How unprepared the population was for extended lack of basics. How much travels by train, truck, plane. Critical warehousing and suppliers.
every critical bit of information an enemy could possibly want to cripple an entire military in time of war in one swift move. They just got it. They already know our lack of critical manufacturing because they have it all. And not just For our country, every country that matters and we consider allies. The virus thing was a perfectly planned and executed military intelligence gathering operation. our military might is second to none but killing off the people that run it wins the war. It won’t be a conventional I shoot at you, you shoot at me war. And We aren’t ready for it.
Sell your toilet paper and buy tin foil.

Not getting one. What stimulus check?
My only hope is that the people who owe me money pass along their check.
The upside of being comfortable but not to comfortable. Nice of them to give me some if my taxes back it's like getting bonus.

Not legal in California or Maryland, go figure.

How cool is that? Purpose? I'd really like to get one of those rodent blasters that pump gas into their holes then blow the little bastards up but they're too much $$$.
Purpose? Great for lighting brush piles and burning cattails off my pond. Plus it's a flamethrower.

Made in the USA, I could actually say the government bought me a flamethrower.

This place is getting to be exhausting.
It's not really the place that's the issue. Do I need to add 500 words to make my point?

Naming a class of food after a group of people is generally complimentary. I think naming a disease after a group of people would be considered derogatory by most. Probably why it's not really done.
Actually Spanish Flu and German Measles are in medical literature. It has become an issue recently as political correctness has become more pervasive. In this case the media used it until Trump used it then it was used to attack him.
-
Maybe because "Chinese" describes a group of people where "Lyme" describes a place. China, or Wuhan virus would make more sense and be more accurate if we're naming diseases based on their point of origin.
EDIT: Besides, Lyme disease is probably referred to by that name because "borrelia burgdorferi" doesn't exactly roll off the tongue
How about Mecican food, should it be Mexico food?

The race issue keeps shifting with the virus.
First it's racist to call it a Chinese virus.(BTW Chinese isnt a race)
Now the virus disproportionately kills minorities so it's racist.
So can we call it a Chinese virus now or not? Asking for a friend.
