Thanks for posting and assuring me. I like the lights. Maybe the tech at Mom's in Foxboro Ma., is unfamiliar or unsure how to put in ( I don't either) which is why I was bringing to dealer. He did sound pretty positive it would be "a bad thing to do."
Maybe I should find another place to put them in .

Somerslee, One of the fun things I enjoy about the Slingshot is doing my own mods. I am not a mechanic by trade or experience but have turned a wrench or two over the years. The LED lighting installs are fairly simple. My wife gets right in there with me to help with all the mods. Go to http://www.Slingmods.com site and watch the install videos. These will walk you through step by step. Pick up some wire loom and wire ties to keep your installs neat and protect the wiring.

Lots of lights and no issues to report

same here. Lots of LED light mods and not one issue. I call BS on the dealer. If these mods were causing issues, it would be all over the forum and Tricled and Slingmods would be working to fix it.

Any help/ pics would be appreciated. I almost feel this is a Universal piece..3M tape on back that doesn't get used, holds on with zip ties..

Here is a picture of the fuse block installed right in front of the hood latch by the firewall. You can see I am powering two sets of lighting through it now. I have the upper and lower brow lights. The fuse block will let you set the fuses to provide power always or only when the ignition is on.

I have it installed. The fuse block is the way to go. I ran power to the light strip in loom to the fuse block. Also used quick disconnect water proof connectors at the lights for easy removal. I have also been using red/black zip wire. You can pick this up through Amazon.=

well that depends on thick the Polaris insulation is? Also how does the passenger comp. feel the way it is now? Di loves the new insulation kit installed. I wont think you would be able to add the DEI kit over the Polaris one. I had a hard time installing DEI over the thin coat of insulation that was already there.

Thanks, that information helps. Safe Driving!!

On my 2016MY had 1 piece of insulation already installed on mine on the fire wall and I installed the DEI over it. As you can see in the 1st picture on the upper right hand corner you can see the original piece of insulation.

toons2, thanks for the pics and information. I have a 2016 SL and it has the original stock thin insulation. I installed the Polaris kit which covered the stock insulation with the Polaris version. I am considering adding the DEI kit just to get the tunnel, passenger floor board and side insulation pads.

I am reaching out to determine if the DEI Firewall portion will install over the stock thin insulation and Polaris after market on the passenger side firewall? If not, is the DEI better/thicker and should I remove the Polaris after market and use the DEI?

I have both the DEI AND the Polaris kits installed. Why do you ask?

I have the Polaris kit installed and am considering adding the DEI components. Both kits have the firewall component in front of passenger. Did you install both of the insulation panels or is it even possible?

Has anyone installed the DEI complete heat control kit as well as the Polaris after market shroud and kit? I believe the tunnel and passenger floor board additions would definitely help. My question is on the Firewall section. Which solution works better? Will they both fit?

Anyone here install the upper brow tric-leds SWITCHBACKS? any good? critique/ thanks

the lights look great and the amber looks very good when turn signals applied. I think the products are very good. I have the upper, lower, and halos with the LED headlight conversiom. I do have a couple recommendations that I believe would make the TRICLED led lighting options better. The wiring is very small gauge and a little troublesome when crimping the connectors a larger gauge wire would be better. I believe the upper brow is a little too long, maybe 1/2 inch too long. The end curves around and tends to not want to stick to the curve. 1/2 inch shorter would give it a cleaner look. I am currently looking at terminal blocks in order to connect all the lighting on each side. I want to add the blade lights and that would be four taps into the 12 volt system. Starting to look a little cluttered plus a terminal buss would make it much easier to troubleshoot.
