Weak spot is the tire to road connection. That is why I am not going to go with a super sticky tire.

So, you feel that if the wheel spins, that will soften the blow the extra power is delivering to the drivetrain? I'll accept that, but, it won't eliminate it.

Speaking of super sticky tire ... are you still running the factory rear tire dimensions? Or, have you change them it out?

This was a thread that I read before I bought my SS ... and I re-read it again today, after @Ross shared his story in the mod's thread. While I'm in the camp that steel lug nuts are better than aluminum to avoid galvanic corrosion due to dissimilar metals, I note that there was a posted recommendation for the product from Full Blown Motorsports, which are forged aluminum. Why?

    Hi everyone!

I know TricLED is very popular with their SS LED kits ... but, I would like to know if anyone has used the kits from Joe Florida on their SS? Their website lists a few in increasing LED count quantity for the SS, but, I cannot find any thing out there on end user experience or installation videos. While that could, in and of itself, be a sign ... it could just mean that Joe Florida doesn't do a good job marketing to the SS crowd.

So, anyone heard of Joe Florida LEDs?
Have you used them, regardless of the SS application?
Lastly, has anyone installed any of the Joe Florida kits on their Sling, and what is your opinion?

Thanks for your time and feedback.

Welcome to the group. We spend winters in Florida and summers in Georgia. Hope to meet up sometime. Enjoy the new toy and get ready to be asked a lot of questions by the non-slingshot people.

You're not too far away when you're wintering in FL ... we could easily meet up, @werndit. Look forward to connecting with you, and everyone else that is close by to my part of FL in the coming months. We love to grab the occasional brunch at Malie Kyla's Cafe (http://www.malliekylas.com/) there in Brooksville.

If you really want to get to know some of the great people on this site, (some are a little stranger than others) try to hit one, two, or three of the events.

@V-SHOT, Sounds just like a family ... you know, there's always some parts of the family that outsiders think are a little stranger than the rest.

Welcome, this is the best forum for all things sling. There are quite a few sling Brothers over in your neck of he woods, more then by me but we manage to meet up in the middle somewhere for some fun. If your on FB join the Central Florida group as we plan most of our group rides on there. https://www.facebook.com/groups/CFSLINGERS/

Thanks, @bubba, I found the CF group on FB and asked to join it this weekend (which I've been granted admission to). So, I'll be browsing through it soon.

I dropped a note in a different thread to say hi ... noticed that more people seem to use these regional boards to drop a hello shout out to the rest, so, here I am! :)

Lutz (Hillsborough County) FL newbie checking in. I've seen a few other Slings on the roads in my area ... but, haven't had a chance to catch up with anyone in person.

Guess I'll jump on this thread and announce myself, too. I've been lurking here since May. Took delivery of my SS on 5/27, a Blue Fire SL LE ... I believe it may have been the first one sold and on the road in Florida, certainly, the first one on the road in the Tampa Bay area.

Thanks to the admins for putting up another place for friendly congregation and information exchange. :)
