That's great. I couldn't see them in the photos.Maybe we could get the SSs from up in the Jonesboro area to meet up for lunch next weekend. What do you think?
Saturday the 13th would be great?
Are you bringing both Slings?

I'm actually not pissed at all!!! This is a beautiful ride and anyone willing to sport a color of royalty and uniqueness is OUTSTANDING in my book!! Whether I was the first to say it out loud or not PURPLE IS THE BEST COLOR OUT THERE! Its a color of class, its a color of leadership, its a color of military respect(aka purple heart) and its the color of a bruise after I beat the ass of someone talking shit for rep'in the purple sling!!! (The last one my fav!! )
I actually knew about this @Painter masterpiece in a private conversation with him and had to remove myself temporarily from the forum to keep from blowing the cover on the whole thing!!!
I love your ride @devonpam and keep up the great work in pimping out that purple masterpiece!! If your interested Ill send you a free glitter decal to finish off that nose to match your scheme! Just PM me a address and the first one is on me! All for keeping it in the purple family!!
Thanks Styln from one purple freak to another. We knew that you had talked to Painter and knew that we were getting this purple beauty done.
Glad to see you back on the forum.
Will you be in Eureka Springs next month?
We would love to get your opinion
Pam
Slingrazor,
The roll hoops are actually the black purple prism. They came out extremely well. You have to see it in person to see how they shine and the colors they put off. They are awesome.
Pam
Thanks Slingrazor.
I would think that it is more a woman's color more that a mans. Takes a real man to like purple.
I have not seen the SS since Saturday when we brought it home. I have a bad case of shingles in my ribs and in a lot of pain and not feeling well at all. Ticks me off. Have not got to play in it yet or drive it.
Hoping I feel like it this weekend. Fingers crossed.
Pam
Yes you did THANK YOU!!!!!
The pics didn't post over there - they were attacked by the robot due to the link...
hmmm i'll try again
Well for any of you good people who still go to the darkside, I'm posting some pics and my original post over there. Just to see them drool!!!!
Devon
In between the bursts of laughter, she said she just could not wear something like that on her Harley!!!!
Well Harley people have to be tough. LOL
We have a great time with the covers. It is great fun sitting at stop lights and waving at people. LOL,,
We get a lot of honks, thumbs up and grinning people. Its a great way to make people smile.
Pam
Thank you everyone for the great comments and likes on our new beauty.
Last October I sent painter a message about painting our SS and at that time we were considering plum crazy purple but really just did not know what we wanted at that time. After a few messages back and forth we decided to wait.
Saturday night at Maggie Valley Devon asked Rabtech if he had seen Painter and he introduced us.
We sat down and had a nice long conversation and then started talking colors. I told Painter that I like plum crazy purple but it was just to blue for me. He said he could take care of that.
We talked about accent colors and he had a couple of ideas and he said let me think about what will look good and I will get back with you.
After a lot of messages back and forth we received a box from Painter with test samples inside. They blew us away. Perfect purple color that I love. The black prism purple is unreal. Oh,,, Devon loved them as well. LOL
When we arrived at Painters shop we talked for awhile and then he asked me what I wanted on the hood. I really did not know how to tell him what I wanted. I decided to tell him my three dream cars growing up. The first was the Bat Mobile(I meet the real Batman, Robin and had my picture taken with them in front of the bat mobile when I was 7 years old). The second was the Smokey and Bandit trans am with the phoenix across the hood. He took it from there and came up with the awesome design.
He took the thoughts that Devon and I told him and created the beauty we have today.
He is an awesome man and an absolute artist. Thanks to Painter I now have two out of my three dream cars.
Thanks from the bottom of my heart.
Pam
The Purple Prizm over black...WOW and WOW!!! That is gorgeous!!! Looking forward to seeing this in person someday!!!
Hey,
We are going to Eureka Springs event next month and of course plan on being back to Maggie Valley in 2017.
Hope to talk to you at one of these events.
Enjoyed meeting you in Maggie Valley.
Pam
@Painter What did Kay think of the helmet cover???
@funinthesun Don't worry about us. We are too easy going to ever think that there was any hurtful intent from the your comment.
Pam saw that and agreed with you.
The title is a bit misleading. It may be his 33rd SLINGSHOT, but Jim has been cranking out these sort of works of art for years. I'm amassed at the talent he has and his ability to put ideas in motion. I'm still holding out hope that he moves to Florida so I can see his work whenever I have a bad day as it puts a smile on my face every time I see his works of art.
I changed the title.
Pam
Yep we will be there
Ladies and Gentleman, Boys and girls, Children of all ages!!!
It is our great honor to introduce the new and improved FRED!!!!!!
He was painted, at a hidden and secluded location, where the Artist known as @Painter helped my wife, Pam, develop the vision of how FRED should look.
It has been a long 2 weeks waiting and longing to see at least a small hint of what the final outcome would be.
After a small tease last night, we drove to the hidden location. We pulled in the driveway and there he was shining and glowing in the bright sunlight. We were both in awe (the video doesn’t do it justice).
So please, friends and family, enjoy the video. And for at least one, @STYLN, yes we beat you to the purple.
Thanks to @rabtech for the introduction to PAINTER!!!!
Devon
More pictures to follow
@Painter OMG..... freaking amazing!
Wow..... don't need no freaking Turbo when you got something as cool as this!
We saw this in person in Terre Haute at Painters shop. It is awesome. Painters work is just fantastic. The pic really does not do this justice.
One of a kind. Have fun showing that piece of art work off.
Congrats Duck.
Pam and Devon
WELCOME to all of the new members.
You have found a family of SS owners that will help you with any questions.
A great forum to hang out in and a heck of a lot of information.
Pam
I spent the morning on the roof of by office building in in Hackensack NJ Watched the second plan hit. After many meetings we released our staff at 11am knowing four spouses were in the towers. I than spent the next 36 hours on a friends fishing boat shuttling people from NYC to NJ because they had no way off the island. On the 13th I finally made it home and spent the next three days knocking on doors to find pets who had been left behind went their owners perished in the towers.
You are a good man Jonathan. That had to be a horrible few days for you and you stepped up and thought of others. You will be awarded.
Pam
Unfortunately, I'll be getting fried in the Keys on that date.
Wish I could be there.
I'll be back on the 9th and hoping to be riding. My sling is at the dealers now:
- Passenger seat developed bubbles (sun damage, I think) and drivers side panel also has large bubble. Hmmmm..... Maybe I should name it. "Bubbles!"
Somerslee,
Welcome to the forum and congrats on your new sling.
Bubbles,,,,I like that
Pam
Kay and Painter,
We have been praying for both of you this week and will continue to do so.
We hope that your doctors appointments go well, they have better news for you next Thursday and perhaps a better plan for a more safe procedure.
You have our number. Anything we can do for you please do not hesitate to ask.
Pam and Devon
It might be a good idea to ask Painter about painting wheels.
Just a thought.
