is because he absolutely refuses to accept advice when he asks for it. It is not the fault of Polaris, it is not the fault of the dealer, solely the fault is his, and his alone, neglect!

okay, I have a question for the pledge users. Are you using this all alone, or are you using it on top of a traditional wax or sealant?
I am just curious if it provides any protection by its self

Since the SlingShot is so rare in this corner of the country anybody dumb enuff to ride around in a stolen SlingShot would very quickly get picked up. The only way a thief could get anything out of one here would be to transport it out of the area. What we hope for if our SlingShot is ever stolen is that it is never found, or totaled out, so we can take the insurance money and start afresh with another 2015, or possibly a 16.

A somewhat related question, With all of this talking about polishing up our SlingShots, I am currently out giving the Grasshopper a good goings over, and I have been reminded of a real trouble area, at least for us, and that is the roll hoops. No matter what we have used on the hoops, they still look mottled? What are your suggestions or ideas here, besides removing and resurfacing them?

Yes - the Lucas Slick Mist Speed Wax will work well on everything you would use the pledge for - $7:49 at most Walmarts,
I have not done business with Walmart for years, (decades?), now,

I go through the tire stuff faster than the other two, because I spray it on the rear tub and side black areas that get a lot of dirt, along with the tires.

Just saying, but Lemon Pledge, or Favor, makes tires look great also!

The one thing I really like about the Pledge, or Favor, is that it is one item that does a good job on everything in, or on, the SlingShot, could someone recommend just one of the Lucas items that will work in the same way?

Bigdog I don't know about the lemon pledge, never used it, but I have used Lucas successfully to remove mud stains on that black piece on my hood.
I can dig up before / after pics if you want them.
Unfortunately wokka, I believe that we all can just stop wasting our time offering Bigdog any more suggestions, so far he has absolutely refused to even try the ones already offered! 
I am somewhat intrigued about trying the Lucas products, we are currently running Lucas gear lube in the angle drive!

Awwww hell that's nothin - I got so used to leaving the keys in it when I left it the garage that I did that everywhere ... on the road at hotels, shopping, work,
I dunno why just the SlingShot, but I definitely have gotten into the habit of forgetting to remove the keys? 
Oh, and so far the Grasshopper has been always just where we have left it and I do not have to wonder where the keys are at!

I had my camera replaced today. I pulled in front and told them about my recall notice. They said it will take 15 minutes and drove it to the shop. I think they just changed it on account because I never saw anyone testing it.
That said I took a picture of this shop notice for the nonbelievers.
Honestly, Bigdog, the shop does you good service and all you can do is still bitch about them?

Yeah, I've found out the hard way that you have to be careful - products for trim and paint often don't work well when accidentally put on the other surface!
LOL, That is the great thing about lemon Pledge or Favor, I use it on EVERYTHING on the SlingShot!

I also use the cockpit cover, as that seems to help keep people from just jumping in it.
We have yet to have anybody lift the cover off of, or otherwise molest, our SlingShot when we're out and about...................

IOP most vendors appear way too greedy asking way too much for their products, thus the reason we typically remain patient and wait for a product we want to be put on the market second hand. However, one exception for us has been https://www.meansling.com/ , great products at fair prices, (compared to other vendors), where Patrick and Tina offer superb personalized customer support. In fact, over our four years plus of ownership, they are they only vendor we have purchased new products from.
