Common sense plays a huge roll in everything we do. Other than that, it's all about how we each choose to handle Fear. Me....I choose to Bitch Slap the living shit out of Fear and live life to the fullest!!!!
Others maybe not so much....but that's their choice and I can respect that......as I spin around and back-hand Fear a few more times just for good measure :00007555::00007555:

I completely agree... But the wife calls it "stuck in my teenage years" syndrome...

I guess for every Ying there's a Yang? That's yang, not wang... 8|

Corbin definitely has their problems (mostly self imposed) but the majority of negative comments seem to come from people that don't own them. Just read a post from someone on dark side who just had a set installed and the latch is totally different from any posted pics and he did some washboard road riding and bags stay latched. Maybe they finally have a fix. Now, if they could just screw their heads on straight when it comes to customer service

I think @Tripod posted a picture of the possible fix... There's a new latch... Again...

    Thanks all for the advice!

@jorgebri60, the Misses has been on a ride... We had a chance when the girls were out of town at grandma's house. She really liked it!

She's just a constant worrier and doesn't trust my driving... Never has, probably never will... :(

Also, I was concerned about laws though with the young ones? I had thought about strapping the car seat in @Slingshot Garage, but not sure that will fly in the USA?

@FunCycle, what's your experience? I've considered taking her to school in it, but I'd need to get on a highway...

As @Tripod said, that's awesome Jorge!

I'm guessing your daughter, though the youngest, is an appropriate age for the Sling?

What are people's opinions on this? I just mentioned this and @Slingshot Garages adventure to my wife and she said she wouldn't approve of taking my daughter on a trip because an accident, God forbid, would be likely very consequential.

So? Is there really an appropriate age? Not trying to hijack the thread, but it seems along the lines of @jorgebri60s moral - - to spend time with the kids!

Most of the time I ride alone... ;(

The "bags" are still the best choice for both looks and function pricewise. The back of the Sling is so unfinished that looks alone make them worthwhile let alone the fact that they are really useful on trips. Suggestions:
    1) buy from a reputable dealer like Cycle Springs or Slingmods that will help with any issues
    2) decide on an exhaust, combine it with the bags, and call both asking for best price

Yup... It's because of the rear end I'm always thinking of... Don't tell my wife! :P

The only thing is, the Welter won't work with the Corbin bags (at least I don't believe so)...

Not sure which fenders or rear end the Welter would work with...

Feedback before I get tempted... Don't know what, if anything, will be my big purchase... $3-5K for Corbin bags, the Welter Performance Dual Exhaust, or an Alpha Turbo...

All have benefits and concerns.... For example, the Turbo might literally kill me... "With great power, comes great responsibility" (of which I, or my heavy foot, have none of...)

There's a nice one on the other forum in Houston for $23K... MANY mods! If that's too much, heck, I'll sell you mine for $17k and pay the difference for his!

    Yup with @NatomasSlingshot1!

$17K base with many extras... And recently saw
another base with good options for a good price... Can't remember where though... But check Craigslist, eBay, and the forums... And consider flying out and driving it back!

Holy moly... What an epic adventure... This is what having a Slingshot is all about... Traveling! @Slingshot Garage, I'm inspired to go out on the road again and wish I had more time when I drove from California to Texas. Unfortunately I only had 3 days to do it.

    EVERYONE on here rocks! Seriously...
