I’ve got a stage 1 turbo set up with 6psi of boost and want to add stage 2 for 9psi. I’ve been told I need 93 octane for more than 6psi but then recently was told 91 was fine for 9 psi. Does anyone have experience with running 9 psi on 91 octane that could share your experience?

Man, those guys are awesome! My #1 podcast of all time!

I picked up the Haltech 1500 ECU, Flex Fuel sensor, 80# injectors, boost solenoid and Haltech multi-function gauge. I'm gonna see if I can get a couple extra pounds of boost before upgrading the engine.

Episode 6 is available now! We did a great interview with Vernon Walker from Lite The Nite LEDs. We talk about everything from R&D to customer service. Come give a listen!

How do I drive? On the one hand, I'm a pretty responsible driver, I like to leave plenty of "stupid space" around me (in case someone nearby does something stupid), I don't tailgate, and I haven't had an accident in over 40 years. My last ticket was 3 years ago (okay, so I got 3 in one traffic stop to make up for it. 🤠)
On the other hand, I've enjoyed fast cars for years, and I've had 3 fast turbo vehicles. I'm not afraid of dropping a gear and putting my foot in it and I'm no stranger to bouncing off the rev limiter. There's nothing quite like being behind a slow fellow going 45-50, dropping to third and blowing by him! 😁
I DO find that when I'm in 4th or 5th (and sometimes 3rd) that I want more response. I rarely find the sling lacking off the line, but above 45 mph I feel that it lacks authority. I think if I could get boosted up to 230 to 260 hp, I could be very pleased.
I can tell you I have zero interest in shredding tires or burnouts (no disrespect to those who love 'em), it's just not me. In fact, I would love it if the turbo could be "programmed" (if that's the right word) not to kick in until 2500 rpms or so. I have a feeling that too much power right at the off would make driving in even moderately damp weather something between silly and dangerous.
I hope that helps some - y'all have been very helpful with your suggestions and encouragement. Special kudos to Dave@DDMWorks and Kyle D. Your expertise has been terrific, fellas!
The turbo has to spool up and won't kick in until about 2800 rpms anyway, so you're safe off the line. The turbo also prefers higher rpms once it's engaged, so forget you even have a 5th gear. Otherwise. you'll do what I did and start backfiring and not know why, lol.

The only thing I regret is the lights I got for underglow and the interior. It's not that it was a bad product. I just had no idea what to look for when I went to the dealership parts counter and told them I wanted LEDs. The lights are all on a ribbon and held in place with zip ties, so of course they're starting to sag and come out from behind the panels where they were hidden. I just installed LTN kit for my exterior lights and couldn't be happier.

And it might just be my imagination, but after install, it feels like the gears are engaged tighter and there is less vibration when at low throttle in 1st/2nd gears. I love this mod!

I installed the DDM short throw shifter yesterday. I love the new feel! Thanks Billy (Vsp1140) for making the install YouTube video!

Vsp1140 also, since you talked about your slings on the show, how about posting some pics of them here
Here's mine (I'm Bobby of the Billy and Bobby SSSS)
