In process of waiting for info from them. Its late and I doubt they are open. I received it a month or so ago, and was wanting to install it tonight as I just picked up my SS yesterday.

I bought a Street Fighter Quick Release steering wheel assembly from a popular vendor. However, it will not release and separate when the button is depressed. No instructions came with it. Ideas and help please!? Thanks.

Deleted as I posted in the wrong place.

After seeing the SS's at Daytona Bike Week, deciding I needed one, calling home to NS and placing a deposit around Mar 20, arriving home from Florida last week I picked it up today! First drive was great. Now to start installing all the stuff bought off Amazon, Cycle Springs and others.

That will be great. I live in Zephyrhills when in Fl.

It will not get any extended garage time! I will be trailering it to FL in the fall. Just about every day there is a riding day.

....I finally will be getting my SS. Saw SS's at the Polaris display in Daytona and decided it was time to go from 2 wheels to 3. I winter in Florida, but live in Nova Scotia which I found out (a) has no SS dealers because (b) that jurisdiction will not plate them!!! What to do? Found a dealer in the adjoining province (Dave's Sports in Woodstock,New Brunswick), negotiated a deal, sent a deposit and scheduled pickup around May 18. My daughter lives in that province and we found a way to plate it there. In the meantime I prowled the SS forums and asked lots of questions. And kept Fedex and UPS drivers busy with many Amazon deliveries of bling and "necessary" stuff. And add in a few visits to and purchases at Cycle Springs. Thanks to all you forum members who were patient in responding to my questions - sometimes likely seemingly absurd - but only that way as I didn't (and for a few days yet) have my SS on hand to look at and get measurements off, etc. I gotta say (and I am no youngster) I haven't been this excited about a toy purchase for a long time. I just got back home in Canada. Wednesday cannot come soon enough!!!

My wife and I travel like you folks do, harleyujoe. Travel light. Wash clothes in hotel sink, etc. So can you recall what Amazon vendor you got the bags from? I want to take a look.

Absolutely the case. Adds to the design challenge I guess.

I guess you are the self nominated guy to do it!! Seriously, I wonder if an axle mounted wing is a possibility? If downforce is desired, it would put it where it need to be rather than directing it through the suspension. Could something that doubles as a wing and a fender be worthwhile?

Maybe it is time for somebody to attach some ribbons to various places at the rear of a SS, go for a drive and have someone with a camera following at highway speed to record the movement of the ribbons in the air. A low cost way seeing what is happening. I cannot do it - still in Florida and anxious to get home to Nova Scotia and pick up my SS at the dealer!! Very anxious!!!

Thank you. Ideas appreciated as I think through this notion!!!

For me its more about the look and hopefully added safety/visibility to drivers behind me. Less about downforce.
-
For sure about the rigid mount location. The one I saw at Cycle Springs had its wing mounted to the roll hoop. A longer bracket would be needed.

Has anybody mounted their rear wing so its rearmost edge is directly above the rear of the tire? I'm thinking if it is that far back and has LED brake and tail lights on it, drivers behind will more readily recognize their safe distance from the SS. Another benefit (if it is needed) will be greater downforce (through torque multiplication) on the rear tire.

When posting my avatar pic, it rotated 90 deg. How can I rotate it to the correct orientation?
