This is a simple method for keeping your fenders from shaking on the highway. At the front end of the fender there are already 2 screws, one on the fender and one of the metal turn signal frame. Simply drilled 2 holes at the opposite end of 2 washers and bent one 90 degrees and then attached them where the aforementioned screws are. Plastic tie looped through now holds the fenders in place. (Obviously you have to cut and re-tie every any time you open the hood)--Good for longer trips.
Also did the rear of the fender by drilling a hole through the metal hood pad frame and the upper part of the fender skirt. I bolted a little bracket on there but you can just tie through the hole. You don't really need to do the rear, the front holds it well enough. -
What company? Thx

Oh, no. My theory is the best mod is no mod. This might break the seal. Darn.
Careful, or you might join...

After dabbling with a 4 point Corbeau for a few days I removed it and went back to the stock belts. I found it to be less convenient and less comfortable. A little soul searching told me that I was doing it more for looks than any degree of increased safety. Anyhow, I've got an open mind and I'll take a peep at what others have at SSITS.

T & C...do you guys still have catalytic converter and stock intake/exhaust? I've always been baffled as to why some folks have chronic issues with the rev hang/idle issue and other don't. In my case the intake and exhaust mods got rid of most of it and then the re-flash did the rest.

I was an early adopter, installed myself. It's not a difficult job technically but it is a fair amount of work, figure on 2 to 3 hours. The radiator shroud stops the hot air (whether moving or fan pushing) from blowing over the upper part of the engine, (adding more heat) onto the firewall and through the various openings into the cockpit. If you have a stock muff, a shield is provided that wraps around the back of it insulating that huge heat generator. Having ridden on several 90 degree days, I can attest to the fact that it is well worth doing and one of the best bangs for the buck since Polaris seems to be subsidizing the cost of this kit.

I hope that when you're done that your name isn't a reflection of how it works.

Makes me wish I was a "strapping" young man

Corbin sells these water resistant liners for the trunks behind the seats. Does anyone have these or a cheaper alternative? How do you pack the seat trunks for a long trip. I've basically used soft luggage inside a garbage bag, hoping for a better alternative.

Some people are just shifty characters while others are not.

That's usually how a car reacts when the bulb is dead. Can't be that if it resets. Odd

BD...those are nice belts.. I may just try another set that's not permanently attached at the lapbelt.
-
Had a bunch of spare belt parts from past projects and installed this today. Unfortunately I'm not sure I like it. Feels a bit uncomfortable, restrictive and makes it a pain to swing the seat forward to access the trunk.

Sometimes I wish I had gotten the 7.
You can order just the 7" windscreen from them without any hardware pretty cheap. Just call them and ask for a price. I got the impression they just made up a price for me when I did it and it was cheap.

Tie the wires together. It will turn the light off.

When you replace the stock belt how do you deal with the seat belt light?

I have just purchased a 11" madstad from another member. Couldn't pass on the price but would love to have 7/9" for the summer and reserve the 11" for the late fall winter. I'm 6'2" but very long torso. Only have a 31" inseam so I don't believe seeing over the 11" will be a problem, I just may want a little more cabin breeze during the 100 degree summer days here in SC.
How do I get In touch with them? I have emailed through site but no response. Should I go through SM or cycle springs? Thanks for input.
I've got similar set up, both an 9" and a 7"..I've found that, indeed the 7" gives much more air but also about the same turbulence as the stock SS blade windshield. The 9" is a wonder inasmuch as there's reasonable airflow but almost no turbulence. I had same issue, they are sometimes slow on their email response, just call them--good folks!
