Not EXACTLY a wrap or paint. Can we call a custom AMR graphics package "close enough"?
If so....
This is my entry.

We always try to head up that way from Georgia in the fall anyway. Fall colors on the Blue ridge Parkway from the Sling is a can't-miss for us. Now, throw in a Slingshot rally and I can't imagine us (and a ton of others from this area) not going!

Display MoreYeah... Kinda didn't get any pics taken really! Finished her, took the one shot I put in the 1st post. Headed for Daytona the next morning. Spent 3 days taking pics of OTHER people's slings. Then got home and immediately flew out on a business trip!
Here's some screen grabs from some videos she found her way into and a pic of the hood on my living room floor just before re-install.
I'd go take some if I wasn't 800 miles away.
Also, this guy doing his podcast stopped and talked to us about her.

I loved your choice of Battle Star Gallactica, something a true SciFi fan would select, not run of the mill StarWars, ToS or STNG.
Might not be the obvious choice, but it gets the looks (even if they're confused looks)! The theme was an easy choice for me. The show is just the best dramatic series ever for my money. You don't need to be a sci-fi fan. Just watch it as a military drama and it'll hook you.
Also, she's only about 2/3 done! More to come!! ....But later... Just going to enjoy riding for a while!!

Ok, so not "today's" project, but the result of the winter tear-down. Went full on nerd mobile and loving it! Nose cone removed, "polaris" filled in, sanded, painted. Dash and hood accent pieces sanded and painted. Auxiliary fuse box, better battery, underglow, halos, interior accent lighting, and a FEW accent LEDs installed (and dash switches to kill them all in case the local police are unimpressed). Roll hoops and spoiler hardware removed and sent for powder coating. Lower tub and mud flaps sanded smooth and painted to match the roll hoops. New seats installed with some headrest embroidery done by a local shop. Worked with AMR Racing to get the custom BSG graphics kit designed and printed. Installed said graphics kit. Then took her for a 1000+ mile round trip shakedown cruise down to Daytona for Bike week!
We have a large group going down from the Atlanta area. We'll be in a 30 (or so) sling convoy leaving early Thursday morning the 11th.

Ours is named "Boomer". She's a Battlestar Galactica themed sling. I choose a top 3 from all the callsigns on the show and let the wife choose her favorite from those 3. Boomer was the pick!
And, no. We do not talk to her!

EVERY exterior panel off and plastic hung for a "paint booth" in the background. She won't look like the same sling this spring!

I have a slingshot with a large carbon fiber wing (no roof).
We are moving from a house with a garage to one with only a carport. I remember seeing a post once (not sure if it was here or elsewhere) about an all-weather car (small suv??) cover that fit almost perfectly on a SS with a large wing. Even the mirrors hit the mirror bulges.
Any ideas? Anyone have the same configuration and have a cover that works great?
BTW, not interested in the $350 custom cover route! I'm a cheapskate!!

He checked his wing today and the bracket is indeed broken.
When he mounts the replacement brackets, there is a step that many get wrong because it just seems like a bad fit. If you don't mount the bracket (see pic) with one side on the inside of the connection point to the wing and one side outside of the other connection point, it will torque on those connections and crack over time.

My friend's Twist Dynamics wing has developed a maddening squeak. Not side-to-side but up and down. Left brackets.
Since I have one too and just know the same thing will happen to me, any suggestions?
Thanks as always
Had the same thing. Drove me so crazy, I took it apart and found the bracket itself (the small piece that connects directly to wing) was cracked. One email with a pic and Twist replaced at no charge.

I left my baffles full length... and put them in a drawer in my garage! They create the perfect exhaust note from there!

Ok! No unwrapping looms. I'll just go on a switching circuit hunt with the meter and go with an aux fuse box!
HOWEVER... In the meantime... If I wanted to cheap out and power some underglow LEDs before I do all that, any reason I couldn't (or shouldn't) tap one of the Canadian headlight Jack's that are unused?

Right that is exactly what I'd like to do. Just have to FIND the power since the previous owner rerouted. See original post - I'm looking for where the power comes from since that charge port isn't connected and there is no 12v wire there behind the firewall.

The USB and power adapter are wired separately (may normally be wrapped together but not on mine if it is. The USB works with the radio. Just doesn't carry enough juice to charge a phone. If you had 10 or 12 hours and weren't using the phone, maybe, but not in any practical sense.

I know where the taps are behind the glovebox. My point was they are bare connectors with NO wires going to them. No loose ends there that once were connected. Nothing! I assume the previous owner moved it.
I want to find out where the power to that COMES from so I can reconnect it.

I bought a used 2016 last year and all the mods the previous owner had put on were stripped off. No problem, I wanted a blank slate anyway! BUT, now that I want to start doing some of my own electrical mods (lights, etc.) I'm finding that a lot of accessories (and aux fuse blocks) want to tap in to the glove box power adapter. The problem is there ARE no wires going to that adapter and no loose or capped leads anywhere in the area.
So, where does that 12 volts come from? I assume the fuse box since it is only supposed to be hot with the key on, but there is nothing marked on the diagram that points me to where. I'd like to re-wire it, but to what?
