Yup, that was my biggest gripe about the pro platinum. Having to cobble together the controller/cell phone combination every time I wanted to fly. To me, the Smart Controller alone was reason enough to upgrade to the 2 Pro.

I have a Mavic 2 Pro and love at. Had a Mavic Pro Platinum prior to that. DJI makes great drones, arguably the gold standard in consumer video/photo drones. Not cheap though. The 2 Pro will run you around $1800. If you go that route, spend the extra cash and get the Smart Controller. WAY better than the standard controller.

Well, looks like it was a false alarm. I rode it to work today and noticed on the ride that it suddenly showed 17.6 hours. Maybe it only shows time when the engine is running? I'll verify later today.

It is just a diagnostic value that dealers can monitor and look at when you come in for services or recalls. It has zero effect on how the slingshot runs or performs. It's just a measured metric.
Thanks. What I was wondering though is if it should show some value. Mine just stays at zero.

I had the Ride Command unit replaced for a navigation button issue last week. I just noticed that the "Engine Hours" value on the new Ride Command is zero. I don't recall what it was before I had the unit replaced. Is that value used on the SS, or will it always be zero?

Actually, I accidentally left my gremlin bell on the Harley I traded in. That was obviously a serious mistake
Called the dealer and they are going to set it aside for me. Then again, maybe I need a new gremlin bell. The one from the Harley is probably full

HI all. Steve from SC here. I'm 58 and just made the switch from 2 wheels (Harley) to 3 wheels with a 2019 SS SLR. Just got it Saturday and have 301 miles on it so far just tooling around my local area
Hasn't been without issues, though. Discovered a pretty nasty factory paint defect right after I got it home. Dealers say they will fix under warranty. Then the Navigation button on the Ride Command stopped working Saturday night. Dealer is closed Sunday and Monday, but I'll be on the horn with them about that bright and early tomorrow AM. Anyway, aside from that, I love this thing! It's killing me to have to baby it during the break-in period
Plan to take it to Key West next month. Can't wait!
