Any screw that I take out, I then chase the threads to clean them up before the reinstall
Yes, I only stripped one fitting. I grease the screw and that seems to let them flow easily.

they sell new ones lil
It's not so much the screw as the fitting. Broke one years ago. Thx for jbweld.
must agree, mine have faded and in places its looking like the black is wearing thin - - whatever they used to color them or anodize them sure doesnt hold up as well as I would like
Yes. But on the positive side they don't scratch.
I just hate those oem screws!
Nice trailer. Only issue is you are stuck with the front tire widths. When I bought my new rims they had wider tires on the front. Minor issue just stick with oem front rim width. Just looked at your pics again. You could move the sling forward to avoid the wheel wells.
I'm not convinced electric cars are the way to go. That electricity has to come from a fossil fuel plant somewhere. Or maybe the lefties want nuke plants all over. Then worry about storage of the rids later. Also, our grid cannot handle the proliferation of electric car demand. I think the automakers are going that direction just to boost sales.
Don't have to remove panels. I take tires off since I have a quickjack. Fronts are simple. Rear I attach the top first letting the bottom of the shock lay down so I can get my fat hand in the opening to align the holes up. Put tape on the socket and put socket on extension. Tape is so bolt doesn't fall out. Have 2nd person put socket extension thru the access hole in the passenger storage compartment. Screw it on and then attach the bottom. Of course torque the bolts. For those that don't know, the nut for the top fitting is welded to the frame so you don't have to worry about it falling off when removing the bolt. Pretty simple...
easy install but back one takes patience. Need 2 people for back shock install.
I had my jri shocks rebuilt to the touring 23k ago. So not ready for new shocks. I hope when the touring need replacing they will rebuild them again for the same $300.
Quite simple, remove the 4 torx for the plastic covers and remove. Then just remove the 4 bolts down below for the hoops and pull them out. That is per hoop.
I was hoping it was that simple. Thx
160 mile hot fudge sundae run. Sorry no pics. Actually rode behind another sling for awhile from NH. Don't see many slings on the road up my way.
Sitting 2 weeks for my daughter's dog while she's in Aruba. Thought I wanted another dog but don't like getting up at 5am to let him out. She brought this on back from Aruba in February. Told her there are enough adoptables in the US. But she doesn't listen to dad lol.
no burning rubber, maybe slightly aggressive driving.
of the people with high mileage on the tires....did you have a 3 wheel alignment done? I’m wondering if my back tire is scrubbing off...from being on a bias...
Yes had 3 wheel lazer alignment done first season. Hit allot of potholes since then but still goes down the road straight with no hands on wheel. So I assume it's still in alignment amazingly.
Never listen to music while riding. Love to hear the sound of the engine/muffler
Man you guys must lay rubber all the time. I get 40k on fronts and 17-20 on the rear. Or is it the hot weather you may ride in and the road just burns them up?
Gee, I love my 2015 lights. No way I'd change them out. But once again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
I never liked Apple phones because of their lack of SD card support. It really saddens me to see other manufacturers now dropping support for easily expanded storage.
I must admit that I've gotten spoiled with near Gigabit speeds from Comcast, but my cable bill is getting way too high for me. Looking at T-Mobile's 5G coverage map, it looks like my house is located in their 5G Ultra speed area, so I assume I'll get more than 50Mbps.
I ditched cable 4 or 5 months ago. Only thing I can't do over my data plan is update my phones software. But that's samsung not tmobile. I save about 55 a month. Now if I could get rid of dish and save money I would but checking all the other TV vendors, their prices are very close.
