I removed the rubber boot, cut out the center 1", removed the wires from the boot, cut the stock wires and used butt connectors to wire them to the LED (Yellow wires are the Positive). Fully weather taped the butt connectors.

the existing plugs work, the old bulb comes out by doing a short rotation of the bulb assy. The new unit will go in easily but sets a little loose in the socket. I added a couple of dabs of silicone sealant on ether side of the housing to light and let set for a couple of hours.

Today I upgraded my 2018 SS headlights to LED.

Difference is documented by a YouTube video (link below)

    Total Cost $50.00 from Amazon

Modification required (cutting hole in low beam rubber boots to allow ventilation to the 12,000 rpm fans. Adding a drop of silicone sealant on the center lamps to lock them in better.

Also on Amazon there are some perfect marine fuse panels that will work with the Sling Shot from I think 4 circuits up to I think it is 12 circuit for around $20 to $30 Blue Sea is the brand and you will find what you want for very little money

I ordered the lightway 4 circuit fuse block with LED indicators. I liked this version as it uses the blade style connectors rather than the screw down clamp style.

    Thanks!

A couple of weeks ago, I changed over from a stock "non-vented" hood to a vented hood using the Bullet Speed Hood insert....

Below is some documentation concerning this:

I installed my Bullet Speed Vented Hood Insert purchased from SlingMods!

Love the Look, and hopefully the added heat removal!

Then I conducted a Thermal Infrared analysis of my 2018 GT with a new Bullet Speed Vented Hood Insert after an aggressive 7 mile drive in 90 Degree F outside temps.

Really wanted to see how much this vent assists with removing heat from under the hood... My conclusion is that it works!

The images under the hood is focused on the stock manifold and cover. (Machine is Factory Stock), Today I ordered a Welter FSX and a Full Blown Header, and may share the results from this upgrade later.

The analysis also includes the tires / wheels, and wheel bearing thermal results (and yes, my rear tire was low on pressure causing an interesting thermal result).

This is an Adobe PDF File... Enjoy

Use the stock horn wire for the relay control and run you a separate feed for the horn. The easy way to do it. My Marco and the Rivco dual trumpet each pulled about 12 amps. How do I know the amps, I kept moving up on the fuse amps until the fuse quit blowing and then went up 2 amps on the fuse size. I did not want to hook up and check the amp for the horns.

Yes, this is my plan, I have the relay and fuse block ordered.... Thanks!

    My first Thread Post!

Today I upgraded my crappy horn with a PIAA Dual horn setup from Amazon. I selected this set as the advertised amperage draw was the lowest I could find. After installation, I did find that the horns sound better by using chassis ground, and I am planning to add a fuse block, tapping onto the alternator and providing a 30 amp relay... During the video test I found the tone has some variability which I assume is due to circuit draw. The stock wires are pretty small at best.
