Make sure the settings on the camera allow for those apps to be used by cellular, and not just wifi. I know on my iphone you can pick which apps you allow to use cellulose. Thats likely the issue if it works fine on wifi and not cell service.

    I will check this..thank you

yea, you have to have a good solid cell service if you want to watch the ring cameras live over the cell phone, but it is something that should work,I check my ring cameras from out on the road with no problem 99% of the time unless I'm in a dead zone for cell service

I will go to Xfinity and ask them about my system and what I may need to do...

We do not travel other than once a year so do not want to waste money also for

something I do not need other than for a week..thank You

......I was forced to get home CCTVs security cameras on my house because one of my sons snuck a female in my house and tried to sneak out but got caught by ME........so i said ok it's time to monitor my house inside & out........and i made sure every camera sends clear pics to my cell once movement is spotted & its been great at catching someone in my driveway trying to break in my car .......my family says BIG BROTHER is watching, no I AM LOL

So let me ask those who have Ring or other make system... So just got my first cell phone and the Ring 5 camera system and I have another higher end 4 camera system but I can not receive it on phone but goes to DVR drive...

.But we went on trip from NJ to Tenn few weeks ago and could only see my Ring system when checked into Hotel to use their WiFi....

I have Xfinity for Cell phone service and wonder if any way to see Ring system when driving in car across country ????

I also installed Waze's App and it did not work whole trip ...

So maybe I need to upgrade my service ..

And I said last week we were robbed twice in this house and just want little security..

You know you will not be doing all this work for every little ride you take to secure your rides...LOL

I know I would not for fun factor of ride is not to set out and secure at end of each ride..

And could be that one ride a asshole decides to upset your day...

Everything is a flip of a coin luck on every ride we take..Stolen or accident etc..

So just enjoy what you have and stop worrying and hope at end of day it is a good one coming home..

My home has been robbed twice and I still both times think it was flip of coin that house was picked..

And to me I feel the same way SS not a big in theft item and with mine being a one of kind and not

worth much to any person than to me ...For they can not use many parts from it...

I probably feel that my Vanderhall Carmel to be more prone to theft ..but still small market at that..

But the way peoples minds are when they steal at time of doing the act could be your vehicle...???

Other than to just steal with No Reason...

I am wanting to add a security system to my SS, something that would sound off if someone was messing with it, looking for recommendations. Thanks

I am going to put Tile Tag into mine which is a apple air tag that is used for android phones ..

Just in case any of you don't see your daily chuckles from me for a while, I just wanted to let you know I won't be posting anything for a while. Hoping things go as planned, I will be back in a couple of weeks tops. Wednesday morning I'm going to check into the hospital early for a 5 hour back surgery. I've put this off way too long and the pain has gotten to the point that even on the fairly high dose of opioids, the pain was too much to deal with. Walking and even just standing too long was out of the question. My surgeon has fully explained what he's going to do and it's going to be the first of potentially 3 back surgeries I'll need to return to a manageable level of pain, but more importantly, to a better quality of life. I have spinal stenosis and there are nerves being compromised at three levels and potentially only one disc that needs to be resectioned, All this to go along with opening up the spinal column space to give the spinal chord more room and to restore some degree of normal function.

So if all goes well, I should be home within a week, but probably not going to too comfortable sitting on a chair for too long. Not looking forward to ths whole ordeal, but really looking forward to having some improvement to start 2024 with some much needed hope for a better quality of life. I'm looking forward to being able to ride a bike again (or at least ride a trike) but I've accepted the fact that my riding days MAY be over if this surgery doesn't improve my condition. Sorry for the long post, but it could be the last one for a while.

Hope you all have a Merry Christmas and a safe and Happy New Year

Wish you well with surgery and healing ....See you when you return...Make best of your Holidays !!!!

Just got the call on my Polaris Slingshot. They found the problem. Corroded wires in the wiring harness near the battery! They are closed tomorrow and Monday. I should have it back on Tuesday.

Sent from my SM-G986U1 using Polaris Slingshot Forum mobile app

Can you find out more on what they mean on corroded wires... Do they mean the wire ends and connectors or do wires need to be changed themselves ????

I would be on the horn with the guy you bought the motor from and find out what he is going to do to make this all right.

I agree and I would take pictures of all commutations and even the ones on this forum to show him what

you have been going through since purchase of motor ...

May I ask did you purchase with credit card ?????

If you did contact them ....I had issue from Vanderhall forum purchase that was scam and Pay Pal did nothing but

my Credit Card after few weeks removed charges from card...

I took pictures of every thing the scam person said to prove what he was doing from Facebook messenger.

    Nice concept drawing

It is a very nice design... I gave thought to something like this on slingshot after I had already started my design..

I would have like this for you can tell where the right side wheel is by being able to see fender edge..

I know I am brushing curbs with Slingshot at times after having a Vanderhall Carmel for so long

with front wheel tracking width is 11' narrower than slingshot..

I bought Aluminum Mesh for my Grille of my Sling....

I made a plywood template that just fits snug and used that to shape the Mesh..

The Aluminum bends so nice and sharp you just have to relieve corners of the bends some ..

But making templates is way to go to have better control in shaping...

the other thing to keep in mind is direction of mesh shape to have professional look when done that all

looks uniform from left to right side depending on your Mesh Pattern selected

with aluminum Mesh you can bend the sides of grille to be longer and have the actual grille at top of hood surface

and use wire ties or use 3M double stick tape to hold grille in place..

If you decide to make your templates I would think the left and right would fit each side and then mark them left side right side .

And then fit them into hood and mark a reference line that is front to rear that is square looking to hood lines.

Hope you have fun with your open hood designs..

Joe, I took one of those Rewaco trikes for a test ride. Man, it sure does take anything resembling a high speed corner like you're either going to plow through and wreck it, or try to power out of it and risk rolling it over. I'm sure those who have one have mastered their own way to ride one, but I would NEVER attempt riding the tail or any other sweet rides in the Maggie Valley area (unless it was going to be my last ride)

I know being a 2 wheel jackass and cornering the way I did and can not believe I am still here to chat ...

But taking a Can Am and not wide enough front track to even come close to fast cornering and

anything with one front wheel even worst than Can Am...

But if I had not been the 2 wheel motorcyclist I always thought these other trikes might have

been ok for the non fast pace cornering individual type rider...

But when someone says they want to go for a ride in Turbo sling through S turns with me they

usually come back and tell my wife I am a F''''''''' asshole and walk away pissed..LOL
