    I think we all ride mainly to burn Gas. Don't you just love to smell gas burning. We ride just to ride with no destination. I for one if I see a road I don't recognize I turn down just to see where it goes because I love the smell of gas burning. And I enjoy the outdoors and love to ride. Does all this make sense????

    Bigdog, I agree to some extent that the ride should let you feel the wind in your hair and bugs in your teeth. Then why would you put a windshield on a motorcycle. Answer; more comfortable ride. Then why not add some Luxury items like I was explaining. A motorcycle has a lot of controls on the handlebar for easy access. I look at steering wheel controls mainly as a safety feature along with the luxury. The more controls you can access without taking your eyes off the road the safer you will be. My $.02

    I wouldn't drive another Ford if you gave it to me. I used to drive nothing but Fords but I have never owned one that did not leave me stranded at one time or another. My last ford was a 1985 4x4 F150 it left me stranded in the middle of nowhere. I made a promise to my self that if I ever got it back home I would never own another. Reason ; Plastic Hydraulic clutch cylinder and hose.

    My 2019 Grand touring was $31,000 I did not ask the price of the 2020 SLR because I did not go there t buy one. Just a test drive to see if it drove a rode like my GT. In MHO the ride is about the same as my GT. I think the seats were a little more comfortable. Just my opinion. But if I had the money I would buy it just for the Cockpit Layout. I really like the way it's designed.

    Test drove a 2020 SLR Automatic Today. Love the new cockpit layout. Controls on steering wheel info center is on a different angle and easier to read in sunlight. Not to crazy about the automatic Though. I had rather shift gears. I didn't go very far but the ride was nice and the seats are very comfortable. I don't know what they have done or maybe its just me but it seemed easier to get into and to exit. All in all I think Polaris has done their homework very well and have listened to the input from their owners. My $.02 the rest of will have to decide if you like it or not. Me, I think it's Great.

Then it hit me to just see how committed she was. I said “you know your right I was very ambitious and I am guilty of all the things you said. I paused for a minute letting that sink in as a look of satisfaction came across her face. I’ve seen the light and Thank You so this is what we are gonna do. You start college this fall so you need to call Bernie and tell him where you want your tuition check sent to - I’m keeping that evil money because I don’t want to stain your character. Furthermore since you feel so strongly I’m going to my office right now and rewrite my will to leave everything I was going to leave you to the climate change cause. How do you like your warm and fuzzy Paw Paw now?? Got up and went in my office shuffling papers with no intention of changing my will or not paying her tuition. Bought 10 minutes later a light knock on the door “can I talk to you very softly”. I sat quietly until she spoke with a tear in her eye (I almost caved) she said “your gonna derail my whole life“. “Well Bernie wants to derail mine so let’s all crash together.” Very quickly I figured out it wasn’t her fault - thru teachers, social media and fake news she was basically living in the twilight zone. I explained capitalism was and is the vehicle that made me successful and it would do the same for her if she worked hard. Long story short after about an hour long conversation I believe we have a brand new Trump supporter. At the end she warmed my heart - she said “momma was right - she said I was gonna lose this conversation cause you always bring a gun to a knife fight”. “It has served me well all those years of being an evil profiteer.” Again old and treacherous crushes youth and exuberance - good times :00008172::00008172:

    Thank God all my Florida born and schooled Grand children are voting for Trump. They are chips off the old block.

    I never could wear Cowboy boots because my feet are to wide ( 4E) I went barefooted until I was 12. My dad said I should have webbed feet like a duck because I have spaces between my toes. Cowboy boots squeesed my toes together and hurt like hell. But I love to wear my cowboy hats.

I wear boots just about every day, I have around 10 pair from the work square toe to the dress pointy toe. They are more comfortable that Nike's and such and last a lot longer, OH! and look a lot better also. If you have seen me anywhere with the Slingshot you have seen my driving boots that are a pair of old Tony Lama's that are around 30 years old. The most comfortable shoe/boot I have ever worn. I will not be a happy camper when they can no longer be repaired.

  • Slingshot hood latch spring broke, is this a common problem?

    Got home from work and noticed the left rear hood latch(closer to the windshield) was not latched. I open the hood and the latch does look a little dry so I lube it. Still the same problem. So I try adjusting the latch, no difference. I then switch the latch with passenger rear latch. No difference. I finally after about an hour of fiddling with it notice that the front latch spring is broken. It was letting the front latch lay down and it was just enough difference to cause the rear latch not to lock. Is this a common problem? I now have two options. A: Buy latch for 55.00 and install it. B: Drive slingshot to the nearest dealer which is over 1 1/2 hours away and wait for them to fix it under warranty.

    Had mine replaced at 2000 miles under warranty. They replaced the cables also.

    My first Job was a service station attendant for Standard Oil. I had to go to a service school in order to get the job. Paid $15.00 a week. I only got a raise after I joined the Navy my salary went all the way to $63.00 a month.

    We let the Democrats take over our schools and let them teach our children their doctrine. We also let them take God and Country out of the schools so we only have ourselves to blame. What we need to do is put God and Country back into our schools and get the Government control out. Also we as parents need to take back control of our children. We have let the Government raise them for us for way to long.
