this weather is terrible

I have the same SS and the gas pedal is a bit of a pain but doable with a little patience and watching the video. I've come to figure out, a LOT of the videos do a nice job of glossing over the bits that suck during install! I understand that we don't want to sit and watch one hour install videos for EVERYTHING, but they tend to not mention some things that are time consuming. That's just my two cents anyway.
I do recall that I had to hold the nut in the back with some needle nose to keep it in place, but it wasn't too bad.

I haven't tried riding in the rain just yet, but it's on the horizon because living here in the Midwest(Ohio), it's been raining and a chance of thunderstorms every freaking day!! I want to get more miles on her but not sure how she'll hold up in the rain. With everything else you do, just have to use common sense and go slower and understand what it is that your riding and where the power comes from. I rode my Goldwing rain or shine with rain gear, but I just took my time and rode slow and easy on the turns and the throttle. I imagine it would be the same with the SS.

I also like the way it finishes off the front end of the SS. They're on my list, but wanted to see more units installed on other SS's before I pulled the trigger. It showcases the springs and rods and such which compliment the accent color on my SS (red), which when I first bought it, the first thing I did was start ripping the vinyl decals off immediately and planned on plasti dipping the red rods and such because I don't care for red too much, but now I think I'm going to leave them red and showcase them to compliment the rest of the red bits.

Welcome to the family friend. Comb through the forums. A lot of useful information found on this site. A lot of experienced members that can assist with practically anything! Good luck on making the decision to purchase one or not. I haven't rode in the rain yet but it's coming soon. I keep the rain gear behind the seat...... just not willing to get her that dirty just yet.

Yeah, I read about the wobble nuts and doesn't sound like a safe idea to me. I'll just stick with the current set-up. Thanks for the feedback gang.

Be safe. Maybe next year for me. I’m yet to ride this thing down the street, yet halfway across the country. Enjoy and be safe!! Praying for safe travels for all....

Sounds good. Thanks for the info my friend. I would have been highly upset with myself had the Benz wheels had worked because I paid a pretty penny for the other wheels and to have had some wheels that I’m happy with sitting right in front of me the entire time. Whew!! Thanks again.

I didn't check to see if they were centered or not. I imagine that would make a difference. If they aren't centered, is there a chance they could come loose or for the stud to snap off or anything in your opinion? I'll have to check the next time I try to mount one up.
I bought other wheels because I don't like black wheels, but now the black wheels are starting to grow on me because they've been on the SS since I purchased it a couple months ago. This would give me three sets of wheels that can fit the SS...... well, two sets that are designed to fit plus the Benz wheels that I'm trying to see if it's even worth mounting with some new tires and trying to make that work. Reason being, the Benz rear is a 285 30-19 which fits fine under my stock rear fender. The Savini rear wheel has a 305 rear 20" tire that is too wide to fit under the rear fender. So I'll be forced to ride rear fenderless with the 305 tire on the rear. I only like the stock rear fender and I don't really care for the aftermarket ones too much.

Question...... I had a 2015 Mercedes CLS400 with 19' wheels (5x112). One of the rear wheels cracked and needs to be replaced. I know longer have the car, so no big deal there. I've been storing them in my basement for the past several months, next to my Savini wheels for the SS until I put them on. I noticed the bolt holes looked fairly similar, so I decided to jack it up and give it a try to see if the Mercedes 19" wheel would line up with the SS holes (5x114.3). Knowing that the specs didn't match, I thought it would be a quick no go, but surprisingly enough....... they bolted up and seated onto the SS without any force. I had no idea why or how since the bolt patterns were different. I tried another wheel and sure enough, it fit as well and was mounted flush without any issues that I could see. I never drove it with the Mercedes wheels on it, but was surprised to see that they fit when it seems as though they shouldn't. I took both wheels off because the tires need to be replaced. I wish I would have know this before I shoveled out a pile of cash for the Savini wheels.
Am I missing something here? Will this cause any type of damage to the SS by riding it this way? I just don't want to damage anything or have my warranty voided or better yet, have the wheel to pop off while riding down the street. Any input on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

I purchased a set of 4 from Amazon of this same brand and placed them on my 2018 Mercedes Benz GLE43 AMG. I currently have about 10,000 miles on them and they handle and run great. No tire noise and wearing fine. I had them rotated about a month ago and no issues from Discount tire when they completed the service.

Went to the local dealer and gave them my vin number the other day since I purchased out of state. They said currently no recalls.

lolol. Geesh, she sure ain't purty!

Glad u were able 2 control her. I haven't had mine out in the rain yet........ or pretty much at all since bring her home from the dealership. We've had crappy weather for the past month.

Never left the garage. This Ohio weather.....smh!
I know right. I've been doing some very minor mods and trying to get her just right b4 hitting the streets. At this rate, she may never see the light of day! I was going to wait for the led headlights to arrive b4 taking her out, but it looks like they're on back order from Slingmods until late April, so I may just have to pick the next good day and hit the streets. Also, she looks so pretty all cleaned up. I'm now reluctant to even get her dirty. I just ordered some matte car wash soap and matte detail spray from Amazon yesterday. I had no idea that you shouldn't use regular car wash soap on matte finish paint. Good thing that I never gave her a good bath yet, just a detail wipe down like every other day........lol!

My wife got a GoPro Hero 7 I think from her job for free. She knew I wanted one really bad for vacations and adventures. We received it in the mail about 7 months ago and have yet to even open the darn thing......smh. I didn't install it when I had my Goldwing, so not sure if I'll even try to figure the thing out when I start cruising in the SS. Good luck working with yours. I may just use mine for vacations only or something unless I come across some really cool vids shot with the GoPro from the SS.
