Mosquitos love me, at least the ones here in TX do. I didn't get bit once while in NC

I figure there will be a lot more chatter on it as it gets closer. I have the event on my calendar.

You were going slow. Took me 10 first day then 13 second day to the house. Have one an half through Austin. Still didn’t get to meet you
I was driving a jeep, go figure, and not one of the really cool ones that Patrick talks about.
yeah, sorry, didn't realize another Texan was there, I mainly was hanging out at the DDM tent and since I didn't get to hang up my flag for the parade (it was still being worked on), only a few people who stopped by there saw my name on my SS.

Yeah, sorry, general term. I chose to cut their adapter vs modifying anything inside of the dash. Just wasn't crazy about the quality of the product and didn't think I'd keep it long term, which I didn't, as soon as I found an alternative.
-
I have a 2019, their instructions said I had to cut the dash to get it to fit, which I didn't do, I modified their adapter and used it for a few weeks until I got a better one in.
-
I got one of these early on, do they still have you cut your dash to make it fit?
Also, their splash guard broke pretty early on in using it, plus it scratched really badly when you slid it in and out.
I was not a fan, but hopefully they've improved upon the product since January of this year.

Over the past few months, I'd be out in the shop at least a couple of times a week tinkering with something on mine. Since it's not here right now, I feel kinda lost.
I really should do some other things around the house that I've been putting off.

Rab describes it better than I did, but he's exactly right, just pivots on whatever tire he locks.
Also, for those who haven't seen his ride. Just glancing at it, it's the ultimate sleeper SS. It's not the fanciest, he doesn't keep it immaculate like some others do. It's not loud and when he cranks it, it's quieter than most others.
You'd never guess that it has upwards of 500+ hp in it.
Thanks for taking me for a spin in it!

Great video work!

Bob showed me the numbers from the log, stepping through each iteration, and the vacuum numbers were going from something like 104, 140, 174, 204 and then 0
On top of that, he was turning slightly and you could see the traction control limiting the throttle and the spark and it still broke the tire loose in 4th gear.
This is really Dave's story to tell, I'll let him fill in the details for people who were not at MV.

Yeah, it was probably approaching that

I’ll have to fight you that Slopoke

Made it home about 10 tonight. 13 hour drive
It was good meeting everyone, I had a blast

One of the most common questions I get is what it is and is it fun. I can answer both questions with a simple description, it's my "Adult Go-Kart". If you enjoyed riding go-karts as a kid, you'll like a slingshot.
I got to watch EjFord give a couple his spiel about it and talk them into a ride. I'm pretty sure he was trying to talk the wife into the first ride, but she declined. She sure was a doll.
My bike has been idle in the garage for the last 5 months I've owned the SS other than cranking it occasionally. My current bike is an 01 Ninja ZX6r with upgraded/synch'd carbs and is insanely fast.

My wife felt the same way until we got a top! https://www.meansling.com/product-page/meansling-sport-top
I saw this top in person for the first time at MV and chatted with Ruptured Duck today/tonight. I also saw him install a top on @ericastar76's ride. If I already didn't have a top, I'd probably get his, it's a very well made product. Very easy to lift up and take off if you want.
Patrick also showed me one of his new products, and I can't wait until he puts it on the market, it's a game changer in my opinion!

Well, there is a story there, I didn't get to drive it yet. I'll let Dave tell it if he wants.
Let's just put it this way, my sling is at his shop in South Carolina and we are putting a built motor into it soon.
I think I heard him tell someone that he recons it produced about 16 - 18 psi of boost at roughly 400 hp. Bob has some very interesting logs that he showed me and some video of my sling in action.
I'm as giddy as a school girl before prom night and can't wait.

Thank you, Dave was pulling me back from adding too much green, need to put a bit more black into it, maybe a coil cover.

Problem is that it's barely holding on by a thread. I'd want a dealer to fix it if it were me.
Met several of our forum members today at the DDM and Slingshotinfo tents, was fun chatting with everyone.
