Standard Crystal Springs ride, about 16 miles round trip. 68 degrees and not a cloud in the sky.

Yeah. New sway bar is on my list...
Twisty's is both stiffer AND cheaper (when shipping is factored in).

A good leather treatment might address the problem. I like Griot's.

My previous one worked, but it was just single wheel. With this kit, it will work with both rear wheels.
What, Slingshots now come with TWO rear wheels???

Thanks SlingLow! Different strokes for different folks. I might need a pickup once or twice a year to haul stuff -- $19.95/day @ Home Depot.

I can see families with two (or more) vehicles:
1) an ICE SUV for long trips such as camping or skiing;
2) an EV for short to medium commutes.
PV panels -> a storage unit such as Tesla's Wonder Wall -> EV. Charge by sun evenings & weekends, off the battery when daylight is limited.

Re: price, I paid $19K for that exact vehicle two years ago. 10K miles then, too many to recall offhand now!

I have a similar setup (only difference = red accent stitching) and I heartily agree.

Hello chap! With a surname like Thorneycroft, I'd BETTER be an angliophile.

I'm really liking the red "R". I see myself getting one towards the end of the year. Perhaps I'll get a closer look at the candy during Maggie Valley. Hope my wife understands
The R is black with red trim OR the blue/orange combo. The red S is an automatic.

Pics or ... yada yada. Here are some:
1) DATSling new stance
2) Twist sway bar with DDMWorks mounting brackets -- purdy!
3) DDMWorks handling kit spring

just curious as to why slingshot has a bigger back wheel....is it for stance or some other reason.....like you’re always going down hill so you can get better gas mileage?
My best guess would be traction.

I was in Vegas for the product launch and concur with Dave's and rabtech's assessments. Cockpit is MUCH more polished. It does feel larger by what I have read is 2 inches. Switchgear, steering wheel, seats etc. all feel more like an Audi than, say, a Ranger. Just a beautiful machine.

Didn't want to go FI ($$$) so I added the ZZP ECU tune. Nice gains in throttle response and a rock-steady idle. HP gains (with an aftermarket CAI) -- Maybe 5?
Didn't want to go aftermarket coilovers (again, $$$) so I added DDMWorks' handling kit. Nice smooth ride with more compliance over bumps, razor-sharp turn-ins, better cornering. The lower stance looks great too.
Of course, the DDM kit was supplemented by a heavy-duty Twist Dynamics sway bar, which keeps the front wheels planted and helps keep the Sling board-flat through turns. Of course, the Bridgestone Potenzas also contribute to the handling.
Overall, these improvements are nibbling at the margins of performance but have enhanced both performance and driveability. $$$ well spent IMO.

Grocery store. Exciting life I lead, I know. But 60 and sunny? Couldn't resist.

I've been asked repeatedly whether I built it. "No way," is my stock answer.

I started my own slingshot riders club in my area.....I’m president, Vice President, secretary and treasurer and founding member....only member, oldest member, funnest member, coolest member.
it’s lonely.....Biggest dog???

Depends so much on your individual needs. Run around all day as a traveling salesperson? ICE. Going 3-4 hours each way on a skiing trip? ICE. Getting 10 or 20 miles to public transportation? EV. Making a trip local shopping trip? EV.

Speaking of octane, a few years ago I sent my wife on a full-day racetrack course @ Sonoma Speedway (once Infineon) in her 2011 Porsche 911S cabriolet. We found 100 octane right outside the race track and my wife said her car has never run better, smoother, faster. I just wish I could get 93 on a regular (pun intended) basis.

Just picked it back up from the indy -- DDM handling kit & sway bar mounts, Twisty sway bar. Had an appointment so couldn't drive it for an extended period but it actually feels more comfortable and compliant, especially the front end. I found out the hard way what a mere 3/4" drop can do, scraping the front end leaving the shop. Gotta be extra careful going forward! Will report back once I'm able to put a few miles in our local twisties......
