Just FYI, Phil has the kits in stock, and I'm ordering one today. I'm sure his email is floating around, but if you want to order one, get with me and I'll introduce you.

If you don’t mind, please PM me about the hood buttons and how to get in touch with Phil. I still don’t feel comfortable drilling large holes into my SS hood. Hopefully I can get some needed help before attempting!!! :00000436:

If he has kits already to go it is not a big deal to install them yourself.

The way he has them made makes for a ton of adjustment on the line up.

Hell if i can put them on anybody should be able to.

I don’t know DLROSS about anybody should be able too!! I would probably have to be pretty intoxicated 🥴 to drill the holes, Hell I would have to be intoxicated to watch him drill the holes in the SS hood!!! :00000436: :00002448:

You can register at the gate but I would strongly suggest you do it via our website during the next week as Firstly it is cheaper.Secondly you will receive great event teeshirt which you will not get at the gate.

Thirdly one of our sponsors is working on giving free Teeshirts to match the event Teeshirts we are giving. These Teeshirts should be worn during the parade as at the party after there will be a raffle for those wearing the sponsor shirts and some great free prizes.

The free sponsor shirts will also be given to all those who have already registered.

    That’s my advice.

I am already registered. I was wondering if you can check in anytime during the day on any of the scheduled event days? I want arrive until Thursday after lunch.

ivor , Can you register anytime during the day at the MV event? I won’t be arriving until after lunch on Thursday.

Does anyone know if the gentleman that has the hood buttons will be at the MV event doing installs?

I thought about getting that E-brake shift lock, but it just seemed too easy for someone to remove the shift knob to remove the lock so I got master lock street cuffs instead, with these I can lock the steering wheel to the frame with the wheels turned all the way to one side - cant even roll it in a straight line and it also makes it very hard to even sit in it

Edward Neal have you had any issues with the key and lock on this setup? I looked at purchasing one, but the reviews were so bad on the locks wearing out, I decided against it. Thought I would ask a actual user and get your review.

    Kyle D,

They changed the rollover hoops in 2017 to accommodate the Slingshade. I have a 2018 SL with the Slingshade and have been looking for luggage racks, but have been unsuccessful due to the way the Slingshade has a piece that comes off the back of the hoops and the way the luggage racks mounts to the hoops!! But, after seeing your camera mount I believe that a luggage rack could be mounted to your camera mount and accommodate luggage racks for folks that have the Slingshade. Sure could use the extra storage for extended trips. Is this something you have thought of or think this idea is even possible? I believe you could leave the camera mount on and have a dual purpose MOD!!!

Called my dealership this week about the seat belt recall. They said that they were going to order the new part and replace mine. They are going to call when the part arrives and schedule a appointment for the install. Said I could wait while they installed the new part. One hour install.

You may want to take a look at the Sena calvary half helmet. It comes with the sena 10 communication already built in, and are pretty light weight.

While riding in the SS, I am always looking for folks that might not see me and want to pull out in front of me. A lot of people are just looking at the SS or talking pictures and drift over into my lane. So I stay alert while driving. One thing that concerns me is people approaching the rear of the SS. Being the SS is low to the road and some of the trucks are up in the air, I wonder if they can see me at all. My question is, what have y’all added to the rear of the SS to make it more visible in traffic. I don’t want to add a lot of lights on the rear, but I am open to all suggestions. Pictures would be helpful.

I installed my welter dual exhaust last year. I was talking with Jeff before the install about some parts that were in the box, and he recommended not to use the pipe sealer. He said since they changed the pipes to all stainless, the clamps provided would seal just fine. I did not use the sealer and haven’t had a problem.
