I have a 2017 Silverado with the LS3 and an 8 speed trans.,
Fuel mileage is actually pretty good 22ish on the highway
But on the other hand my 2015 Silverado 2500 HD with the 6.0 sucks fuel like it has a hole in the tank - 14 on the highway and 8 when towing.
Mine too. I have an 05 2500 HD that I have had posted for sale for 60% of the book price for over a month. I can't give that gas hog away. I get 8mpg in it towing or not. Ugh!!

And then she says they are going to concentrate on electric cars and something else that the American public will not buy. Why do they not build what the American public will buy and with a fair price. It is bad to say that my next vehicle may have to be a truck, standard cab of which they build very few of and only in the work truck if you can find one. There will never be an electric car in my future.
No kidding. I live in a fairly populated area. I was looking for a truck to use for work. I looked across four cities only to find ELEVEN standard cab long bed trucks. That's new and used over my entire region. It's sad. Nobody needs a work truck cause nobody wants to work.

Thank you so much airoutlaw for posting this. I read this months ago. I couldn't wait to start this. I ordered basket today from Wal-Mart.com. I added the clamps to our Amazon.com order. that I will finish up tonight for CyberMonday. When the stuff arrives I will post an update. Once I receive the basket and the clamps, I will go out and pick up all the smalls for the project. I plan on having the local paint store mix me some polaris Lime Squeeze up and painting the cargo carrier to match after fabrication is complete. I have the bullet speed top. I will follow up on any differences. More to come.

This is exactly why I read as much as I can on this forum, even if I think it doesn't apply to me at the time. Great feedback.

Thank you folks. This is a good start. Thank you so much for the feedback.

I would like for some people to chime in and share a little info on their camera use. I don't know the first thing about a GoPro. Never even touched one. Black Friday is here and needless to say I am unprepared. The one thing I do know is my girlfriend has Vertigo really bad and would never be able to watch a video where it was bouncing around. I seen the new GoPro 7 black. Seemed like allot of money. The hero 7 white is $179. That didn't seem bad. I do realize you get what you pay for. That is why I would like to hear from some of you folks that know much more than I do about this. I did read some other posts on the subject but I wanted to kinda get an updated perspective. Once again thank you all in advance very much for responding to my post. I really hope to one day give back as much to this forum as it has given me.

Georgia and I will be in the Port Charlotte, Florida area around the 15th of Jan 2019 for a week or so. 1/2 hour or so from the car show area. I'll figure out exactly where we are staying and pm you.
Awesome. I am wrapping up mowing season here and looking forward to take a little time off.

I just got done telling the little woman that we should go to Florida and ride in the winter. Might try to go myself in late January.

Wow. That fridge here would bring $1500

If you can't find a restored fridge, there are still companies that make new ones that look vintage. And probably in a better price range with better technology. Google "Retro Refrigerator". Here's a few I found:
Thanks so much for this info. I never thought to look at new ones. I think this is my best bet for a long term solution.

Thanks for all the hard work.

I am looking for a fully restored fridge from the 50's for my office. I have looked in all the normal places. Craigslist, ebay, facebook, and so on. I am looking for one in great shape that has already been done and someone has kinda got their use out of it. Color and theme is not important. I'll take a look and see if I can make it work. Or if you know someone that restores them that you can put me in contact with. That would be great. Thanks for reading my post and thanks in advance for any help or advice. I am in no rush. I will be redoing office floor in early March but for the right one I'd get it now and store it till then.

Awesome. Thanks.

I'd like a few cards. I passed two new slings today. I told them about the forum but who knows if they'll remember.

This might be the future of car manufactures...they are very close to pricing themselves out of business....
They are close to pricing themselves out of business. Truck prices are even worse. This hits close to home for me right now. Here are the numbers
A 2019 Ford F250xl is $38720
I bought a 2011 model exactly the same equipment all the way down to the color with 58,000 miles on it for $19,000 from a dealer. Truck looks like its never been sat in. Bed has never had anything in it.
Gently used for half the price of new. No way I would pay the difference just for it to be brand new.
