The stock halogens reminded me of the light output of my '74 AMC Javelin.
Changed to HID immediately. This was a huge improvement.
After many others in my group raved about their LED's, I bought a full set of the typical flat (two sided) LED bulbs. They did appear brighter but, the pattern was terrible. Scattered light and shadow spots. I went back to the HID's.
At the beginning of this season, I went with 360 degree LED bulbs. This is a winner!!!
Beam is bright and focused with a very sharp cutoff.
The 360 bulbs were from Amazon. About $40 per pair.

Hope this link works just a sound clip of first start.
I have been looking at that exhaust.
How is the pipe supported? Their website doesn't show any hangers on the pipe.
Also, does anything hang below the frame?
Thanks

Who doesn't like green???
Very curious.....what headlight housings are you using?
Any photos of how you mounted them?
Any info appreciated!

It also helps to get under the dash and seal the openings to the engine compartment. I haven't done it yet, but there's at least one thread or post on doing it.
I sealed up everything on the firewall. Perhaps it does help but, I really can't notice much.
I already put a scoop with a floor vent under the front fender. That was a huge improvement for the feet and legs. I just ordered a different kind of vent to mount on each body side near the seat recline lever. That will allow some fresher air around where those Snailax covers have the fans. Unfortunately, the vent covers I chose are a long delivery time (mid Oct), and that was Amazon.
Also on the hunt for some nice looking, quality, insulated tunnel covers.

I use a similar design with a different controller. They work great when first activated and provide fresh air with a noticeable cooling effect, but I also find that sometimes there is so much heat in the cockpit that the cooling effect gets overwhelmed. Fortunately, after waiting a few minutes and turningthe fan back on, the cooling effect returns for a bit.
I picked up the Snailax brand of seat cushions and found the same. At first turn on......nice cool breeze across the butt and back. After the cockpit heats up, it moved warm air. Definitely better than without but, not what I was hoping for.
The cure:
My wife and I have a spritz bottle with water. Just spray down the back of your shirt and see the difference. Evaporative cooling!

In the pics I see a grease fitting. Is this stock on newer models?
DDMWorks swaybar mounts.

My Wife and I are VERY happy with the DDM Works 3-way.
Set them soft for leisure rides.
Add a few clicks all around and it is a totally different ride.
I hate spending $$ but, these were well worth it.

I use "CarGuys" plastic restorer on the Slingshot and my truck. It is a cream base applied with a sponge.
A Jeep guy turned me onto this stuff. It will make most any plastic part look like it was just purchased and it lasts.
Another "quick" plastic/rubber detailer that I use is "Carfidant" spray. This brings the plastic back to deep/dark with a matte sheen. My only complaint with this product is that it is water based. Should I get caught Slinging in the rain, you can see streaking on the windshield and adjacent body panels. Does not damage any painted finishes. Same happens with my truck. After rain, streaking appears below the mirrors.

I have mine set at Sport +3
That is where I like it for all driving conditions.
I had to bring my Slingshot in for the fuse recall so, I shut the Pedal Commander off about a mile before the dealer (didn't want to surprise the mechanic).
After turning it off, I remembered why I bought it.It's like any mod. Some people like it, some don't. The nice feature is that there are so many settings, it can be tailored to your liking.

I think it looks better on the Slingshot than Polaris's Top. The Slingshot has lots of angular lines and the Polaris Top is too rounded IMO.
The factory roof definitely has that swoop look to it. I would imagine that the designers were heavily focused on the side profile picking up the line from the rear fin.
I think this one looks like good quality and I do like the front and mid lines.
From the roll hoops forward, I think this is one of the best looking tops I have seen.
If the rear had similar lines as the TDGW, I think this could be a #1 pick for those looking for a permanent top.

It looks to be top quality but.....that square back?
It just looks odd. Doesn't follow or compliment the body lines at all.

I posted before, that this thing is a poor man's Turbo!
I installed mine in December or January.
Someone told me to start at Sport +3. That almost killed me!!
It was really cold and when I shifted into second, it started to come around on me. I eventually backed it down to City +3.
But now that it's warmer, I'll get into the Sport +1 anyway, and see how it goes from there.
I like it, it's fun!!
Did I say "start" at Sport +3?
Oops.....I probably meant that I like mine at Sport +3.

How about links to the products on Amazon?

Hey Mark, what is that thing on your passenger seat??
Is that a wig??
Awesome!!!
Busted!!! Truth be told..... I am a closet clown.
I posted on our local town Facebook page that I wanted to join in with all of the Birthday Party parades going on. Kids love it!
I have 2 to attend today.

After changing out a few things, I thought I would give one of these a try.
Picked up on Amazon for $35
It fits perfectly with the following:
1. Twist E-brake cover
2. NRG shift adapter
3. Generic shift ball from Amazon.
To prevent scratching, I used a couple old smelly socks. Honestly, the socks alone will deter anyone from jumping into the Slingshot.
You can't move the gearshift out of first. The sock makes it close to impossible to remove the knob without a pipe wrench.
Even if the knob is removed, the lock mechanism goes around the upper lip of the NRG adapter. So, still locked in place.

6 more strips to go to get back to before.

Started reinstalling my LED lights after the graphics kit.

I took all of the HID lamps out of my 2015 and replaced with LED's. This was before the light and relay recall. The stock HID lights would overload the stock relay when on Hi Beam, the LED's took care of the problem.
I wonder if Polaris changed the circuit. My 2017 has not had a single problem and I changed my bulbs 2 weeks after I bought it new.
Also, were you running 35W or 55W HID ?
-
Happen to have a link for these bulbs?
I have been reading for awhile on bulbs and seems that the HID's are the choice.I have stock lights today - and would love to replace them for a decent cost, w/o too much modding...
I just checked my Amazon orders.
Both of the actual brands that I bought show as not available.
Outsides were "Kensun" brand, H3 bulb , 5000K, 35 watt
Insides were "Innovative" brand, H9 bulb, 5000K, 35 watt
Keep in mind that HID bulbs do have a driver module. Both of the above brands have a very thin driver module that was easy to mount. I can open the hood and snap a few photos if needed.Keep in mind that the higher you go in the "K" value, the more white...towards blue you go.
Halogen is roughly 3500-4000K - more yellow light
4300K - yellowish/white
5000K - mild white (what I am happy with)
6000K - super white, beginning some blue
Anything above.....very blue-ish
