    Some good news!

An Italian scientist has discovered the mechanism by which Covid-19 attacks. The virus needs porphyrins to replicate itself and attacks hemoglobin in the blood to get them. This reduces oxygen in the blood and causes CO2 to build up in the lungs causing extreme immune responses leading to pneumonia.

Men, smokers, diabetics, and most of us with chronic diseases have lower hemoglobin counts than healthy folks, so we are more vulnerable.

Knowing how the virus works will help doctors zero in on successful treatments.

Wow, I guess I will be at the dealer as soon as they reopen from the virus. I will have to give it a try. If it works I will be leaving with it. Just looking online my dealer has a lot of 2019 models in stock and a few 2018s. All I would need to add is the tall windshield and maybe a carry bag for odds and ends. I have another question, do they make a serious all weather cover for Florida? I live in an Apartment and it will get rained on a LOT and fried a LOT in the Florida sun. Know of an amazing all weather crazy good cover?

I have the Nelson-Rigg half-cover from Slingmods.com, they also make a full cover as well.

The half cover serves me very well b/c I drive my sling to work at a local university. Cover keeps rain, leaves, bird crap OUT - also keeps the curious students out as well. Have been very satisfied with this over almost 2 years. Covers from the wind screen all the way over the back deck.

The mid size cover also folds up small enough to easily take along in the behind the seat cubby with room to spare. I suspect that the larger cover would fill that space, but I'm sure others here can advise you. Of course, if you don't take the cover with you, the larger one may serve you better and keep the entire machine out of the sun.

Just FYI, I haven't had problems with different paint fading with half cover so far.

I use mobile 1 and change every 3500 miles. My brother is a retired mechanic, always said "regular oil change is the cheapest extended service insurance you can buy."

I also consider the way most of us drive our slings to be "extreme duty", high speeds, hard acceleration, most of the run time in warm/hot/dry/dusty weather. Virtually every manufacturer recommends more frequent oil change schedules for this.

Don't neglect your air filter either. I clean & relube my K&N filter each time I change the oil.

I can highly recommend the ZZP tune - did wonders for Ruby's acceleration and performance. It's also a piece of cake to install.

Having said that, full disclosure is that I STILL wasn't satisfied and I'm in line to have a ZZP Turbo / Intercooler setup installed next month. I'm going with stage 1 turbo because we don't get good gas around here! :(

Kyle & his crew also offer superb service FWIW.

The only points of difficulty with your math are:

    1. Asymptomatic cases - very prevalent among the young & otherwise healthy.

    2. Known & tested cases are significantly less than actual cases.

    3. "Death accounting" is inaccurate. Some organizations are recording death from almost any cause as "Covid-19". Other organizations skew the other way (North Korea!)

I think actual cases are far more prevalent (by the millions) than reported cases.

Lethality also varies tremendously by demographic (age, preexisting conditions, etc). A general percentage, even if you could get an accurate one, would not tell anyone anything meaningful.

    We need more information.

We are working on pulling orders together as fast as we can right now. There is a state wide no work shut down here in MI and we are running on a skeleton crew of 6-10 people vs our normal 56 people. We are getting orders out as fast as we can but we are a bit behind currently. I am hoping they will go out this week. Once your order has been assigned a tracking number you should get an automatically generated email with your tracking info. I apologize for the delay. Your patience is greatly appreciated.

Glad to hear you are working safely!

If you can, please reserve one of these for me when I come up to see you for major Slingshot surgery in a few weeks!

If you need me to pre-pay for one of these hot 🔥 products to get a spot in line, just let me know.

Did you get the Jaguar started?

Yeah. Just a dead battery from lights being left on.

Interesting, positive terminal is in a special compartment off the trunk. Negative terminal is next to the spare.

Couldn't find the battery at all. Gotta be in an interesting position 🤔.

Shoe horning that 5 liter supercharged V8 into that little car had to take some doing!

It was a wrench day with the Captain!

First thing this morning we found that the Jaguar was dead as a door nail. (Ahem... someone left the lights on...) Captain wanted to jump it herself, with a Jag, this isn't as easy as it sounds. The battery is hidden away (we still don't know where). Auxiliary charging terminals are in two separate compartments in the boot (Brits don't say "trunk")

With that done, UPS van rolls up with tractor 🚜 parts. "Wanna help?"

    "Sure!" She says.

    "Don't take my picture!"

Explained that we have to... no one will believe me otherwise.

"Fine. Just pass me that ratchet!"

We replaced the drive-over ramps on the quick-connect mower deck. The new ones allow you to lift the deck just as you would the front bucket. Wonderful for maintenance!

With the deck up, we were able to scrape out a 3-inch coating of dead grass and get the blades changed. The Ranch is atop Round Mountain, no more than 3 inches of soil anywhere and rocks poking out all over the place. This joint beats the heck out of mower blades!

Once that was done, we took advantage of having the deck off to adjust the hydraulic lift for the deck. Everything much improved, but then it started raining 🌧 so no chance to test out the mower & new blades.

All in all, a fun day with my new wrenching partner! ^^

Several have mentioned headsets w/intercom. We have the Lightspeed Zulu 3's attached to a Sigtronics intercom. There are connections on the intercom to allow transmitting over a radio for vehicle to vehicle communications if desired. You can connect to them via blue tooth individually. We have been very satisfied with our set up. The headsets are light and comfortable enough for all day wear. They are ANR (active noise reducing) so the wind and exhaust noise goes away while allowing the sound from the stereo to come through. As some here know I have an extremely loud exhaust. With the headsets it's no problem at all but without them I would hate to go on a long trip. Communicating with the headsets is just like talking while sitting still with the engine off, you no longer have to scream at each other to communicate any time you get over 100mph. LOL The lightspeeds are not the most expensive headsets you can get but dollar for dollar they are a good product. They have a 7 year warranty and pilots all over the world depend on them.

    Where can we get some?

    cost?

New audio gear for Ruby - but not the conventional kind!

This is a helmet com system, but you put the transducer on your helmet, and the entire shell acts as the speaker 🔊

The system allows you to chat with your partner via Bluetooth, listen to music 🎶 or take phone calls 📞

Nice box contains transducer with 2 helmet mounts, microphone with mount, usb-C cable for charging. Cost about $350 for 2 units.

Took forever to get here 🙄, note in box mentions supply problems b/c of Covid-19 messing with the supply chain. 😒

I will be installing & posting a complete review in the next few days. 📫

I luv ya to death bro but if I ever visit your house and see Mr Snickers shots will be fired ☠️😂

You're welcome to visit Bill Martin , the chances of seeing Mr. Snickers are very slim. We've seen him perhaps half a dozen times in 5 years.

We've got 9 acres... plenty of room. Walk away for a couple minutes and he disappears. Besides that, I know where he lives. Easy place to avoid! 👌
