Whether , Bullet Speed , Twist Dynamics , or Slingshade, The Nascar Windshield is the one top designed to fit all, The extra ten degrees of slope and 6 '' of side to side arch makes for an aerodynamically correct windshield, with or without a top !

Kevin do you happen to have any photos of this windshield with your EZ T Top Roof system?

    Slingshot R Auto in Canada

Based on the Polaris website I am disappointed to see that the Slingshot R in Canada has lower horse power, 178 vs the 203 in the US. Also it does not have the gap fillers below the head lights and the seats are the same as in the SL. Basically it is the US version SL version with different paint and forged vs cast aluminum wheels. Not a lot of other differences. We also can't buy anything below the SL, i.e. no S model like in the US. I hope once production ramps up in the US that the 2021 model R will be the same as in the US. Till then I am sticking with my 2017 SL.

I have a 2017 SL with Velocity Street seats. So these are the 2nd generation OEM seats. I am looking at possibly replacing them with the Velocity Street Sport Seats (I believe the SLR equivalent seats). I have searched the forum and have seen comparisons of the Street Sport Seats to the old version of the velocity seats, i.e. the 1st generation of the OEM seats. Has anyone converted from the 2nd gen street seats to the velocity street sport seats? Wondering on the following:

    - do the street sport seats raise you up at all?

    - do they add or decrease space to the steering wheel?

    - comfort relative to the existing street seats?

    - other differences you have noticed?

Its been awhile since I have posted as I have been busy and the weather here in Alberta has been brutal all summer (if you want to call it that). I just received my new EZ Top from Allthingsslingshot. It looks great but there were no install instructions in the box. I know Kev is enjoying himself in the Poconos so not expecting him to be able to reply with the install instructions and I was hoping to install it this weekend. I suspect looking over the parts that this is fairly straight forward but thought if anyone else has installed the roof, could you post the install instructions? Also any tips or issues to watch out for? Once I get the roof on and install my rear fender (temporarily till the winter when I will get it painted) I will post photos of all the mods I have done this summer.

do you mean you have a 12 volt plug on the ends of the charge cables that you plug into the socket or did you hard wire to the power supply to the 12 volt socket? My xgrip holder does not have a 12 volt plug in and I may use that socket for some under dash colored lights.

I want to install an xgrip powered phone holder to the windshield mount with a ram ball. The one I bought comes with the standard wiring that connects directly to the battery. I want to connect this into wiring directly so that it is only on when the ignition is on. I am looking for suggestions as they best place to tap into for switched power and what others have done. This will be the only powered accessory I plan to install so I am not looking for anything fancy but something permanent and that is only live when the ignition is on. Suggestions would be appreciated for a guy who has not done much electrical work but is more than willing to learn if someone is willing to explain in terms a newbie like me could understand.

Thankfully my wife is a very understanding woman. Her car is parked on the driveway in the summer so that my slingshot and Spyder F3T can park in the garage over the summer? On a positive note I get as much if not more pleasure from mods then I do from driving :-) Right now the sling has enough power to keep me happy and likely I will stay away from any major changes like a supercharger or turbo, but never say never :-)

here is what I installed today. Pictures to follow when I get the rest of my parts installed.

    - Status Racing bar protection padded bar covers - painful experience. I could not get the speaker pods back in and stripped two of the bolts trying. gave up and am sending them back. The fit is just to tight in my view.

    - Status Racing Grab handle cover (Slingmods)

    - red momo knockoff Ebrake handle and leather boot with red stitching (ebay). Required some modification to widen the hole for the release button but easy to do with a dremel tool

    - Threaded Shift Knob Adapter (eBay) - black - old adapter came off easy after applying some heat to the large set screw to break down the lock tight

    - Red Carbon fiber shift knob (amazon)

    - visor for radio (eBay)

    - NRG Red pedals (Slingmods)

    - Lloyds carpets and passenger kick mat (Slingmods)

    - mirror extensions (eBay)

    - DDM Works black axel nut cover (Slingmods)

    - parabolic rear view mirror (clip on style) (eBay)

    - universal motorcycle windshield extensions (one on each side) - I'm 6'4" and want these for the cooler days and evenings. They have adjustment cams that allow them to be lower to basically almost the same height as the existing windshield for hot days when I want more air in my face. They only cost me about $40 each so figured not a big investment if I don't like them and can use one on my Spyder F3T if I don't like it on the slingshot.

Yet to install and sitting in the garage

    - Accutronix hood release lever

    - eBay metrick style rear fender

    - transmission dust cover

    - passenger seat relocation brackets

    - DDM Works Steering Wheel hub adapter

    - Twisted Dynamics flat bottom steering wheel

    - side view mirror blind spot mirrors

    - swing arm mud flap

    - colored under dash lights

    - ram mount for my cell phone with charging port

    - helmet Bluetooth headset- intercom

    On my wish list

    - meansling top

    - sway bar

    - 4 post lift for my garage to store the slingshot for the winter months

    - different seats

    - shocks

    - add a couple more speakers

    - and I am sure there is more to pop into my head

Is anyone using this roof? Looks like entire thing is moulded plastic. Looking at sling mods install video I wonder if it is likely that I would wack the back of my helmet getting in and out. Even with the flip up roof the back part seems to extend fairly far forwards. If anyone has comments about fit and finish or if it is squeaky or other comments let me know

has anyone purchased either the rear end protection or the rear windshield wind deflector from Slingspeed.com? any comments on quality etc? Thanks. This is the web address http://www.lovejewelrybyjenny.com/slingspeed.html

I understand the rear protection is made of plastic similar to what is used on the slingshot rear body panels so it would be light weight but it is covered with vinyl wrap and so I wonder if it is very durable?

Does anyone know the size of the push pin used thru out the slingshot to hold on panels etc. I want to buy a larger quantity on amazon but they come in various sizes. Looking at the online parts catalogue there does not seem to be any sizes noted. Part number is 7661855

    Thank you.

Any reason I can’t charge my battery thru one of the 12 v plugs? Saw a video doing this with solar charger so assume I can with a normal trickle charger? Did a search but couldn’t seem to find any relevant threads. Thanks

Thanks everyone. I tend to mod more than ride it seems :) I also have a 2016 Can Am F3T Spyder sitting in the garage. My wife is a very understanding soul.

On a different note I notice the rear view mirror is super loose and moves when I hit a bump in the road. I haven’t searched yet but can the tightness on it be adjusted? While I love the fin it sure does make shoulder checking tough and I am 6’4” so sit pretty high up. Shorter drivers must have to totally rely on the side mirrors. Freaks me out as I always shoulder check after riding motorcycle for 30 + years. Letting the modding begin. Already have the mirror extensions, replacement shift boot, media visor, transmission dust cover and aluminum hood release on order :) Need to order some decent floor mats and then go on from there

Thank you all. I had done a search and tried the centre the mirror and adjust arm approach but the fine tuning with the mirror itself is virtually impossible as it only moves with lots of force and then moves far to much. I also sprayed with a lube and that helped but not enough. I will post if I find any better solutions. Taking it in today for the inspection so I can get it licensed. Moving from a series of Can Am Spyders and hope this is as much or more fun. Look forward to the banter on this site and hopefully meeting some slingshot riders in person
