My dealership is always helpful. They always let me know when I’m in for service if there are any recalls. Louis Powersports - Greenville, TX.

This may go without saying, but if you want to get better performance from your Welter dual exhaust, you must also get the upgraded Header. When I first put my exhaust in, I attached it to the stock header then changed the header out 3 months later. There was a noticeable difference in sound with just the exhaust, but when I changed the header was when I could tell that I was getting more HP. I believe that is the reason Welter started giving headers away with every exhaust purchase. Definitely two products that work well together.

Is Lite Your Slings unwilling to sponsor this veterans group without the banner being displayed? Seems like the conflict is with the sponsor and not the Veterans group.

I am a veteran as well, but my interest in this hobby and it’s events is to meet other SS owners, not other veterans. We have a local legion for that. No offense to anyone, but this seems to be a political issue and mixing politics with Slingshots is an Oxymoron...

Small world brireeves629 ! I grew up in Hazel Dell on 86th St near Jason Lee Jr High School. Graduated from Columbia River High down the street in '78. My folks owned a house there for 42 years.

If my math is correct, we lived in Hazel Dell from 1976 - 1979. My parents ran a group home there.

Dude! I can here that here in Washington state! Seriously, that looks incredible and I hope you put up a sound clip or two even though they will never do it justice. Gonna have to hear that in person. Did you use a sub with those massive speakers? also, does the rear tower have rearward and forward facing speakers? Congratulations man, I've never seen anything like this.

Thanks! The tower has passive radiators on the front side. There are also two 6 x 9 to match the tower speakers inside where the factory speaker pods were. No there is not a subwoofer The system doesn’t need them. Those are 10” full range speakers with compression horn tweeters. I will definitely post a video. Where in Washington State? I grew up there..

Just a note: ProBox is designing a speaker pod bar for me that actually attaches to the existing roll protection. I will post pictures of it later today.

Very nice! Who's doing the work? More details please...

Probox. They make speaker top systems for ATV and have taken on this project as kind of a prototype... I will share more once they are done, but I was excited to see these pics today.

They aren’t finished yet, but here is a sneak peak at the rear speakers. They aren’t subs, they are full range speakers and there will also be two in the front! All powered by around 2000 watts! And yes, they will still open up for storage...

Went to Freedom Power Sports to collect Ruby today. They replaced the master cylinder and bled the clutch - she drives much better now and the clutch engages much closer to the floor as I am used to from driving many other manual transmission vehicles.

It was a damp & windy day, stayed on surface streets all the way home & didn't open her up much past 50, but I'll go riding Sunday if the weather is good.

My only complaint is that Ruby was pretty dirty. They took about 20 minutes to clean her up, but she still needs plenty of TLC - if only the weatherman will turn off the damp & greasy gloop for a few days!;(slingshotinfo.com/wcf/index.php?attachment/93171/

The red looks really cool. I love my Orange Madness, but the red is definitely cool looking!

I am fine with the SS falling back and not being mainstream. I would even prefer if they made less of them each year. To me my SLR was expensive, but worth every penny. I am glad not everyone can afford one. It makes for the experience when the market isn’t too saturated with SS.

As for The auto industry, there are so many shared components in engines these days that most any brand of factory built car is comprised of parts from all over the world. All that you are really discussing where the automobile is “assembled” vs where it is “made”. I would prefer to keep jobs here in the States, but as a consumer it doesn’t really matter. These days Americans get paid more money for less work which doesn’t translate to incredible savings for us. Under current administration, I believe we will have more factories operating here than overseas, but chances are they will be filled with immigrant workers anyway, so...
