Got it put back together, but now one of my old led strings doesn't work. They don't match the new lights anyways so back to Amazon to buy another matching set.

Here's a pic of the front end before remounting it. New paint, DDM V2 Splitter, and light bar. Also put bumper scrape guards under the splitter - trying to minimize damage. Horn is right behind those teeth. I'll post a final pic when I get the lights completed.

Okay, finished product. Got off of work really late so didn't get home in time to finish before dark. So lots of glare in these photos - just finished mins ago.

The white marker lights from Amazon have a strange start up pattern where they bounce back and forth for a second or so, then start filling in 2" at a time going from inside to outside until lit. Then brighter lights bounce back and forth inside that to make it even brighter.

Then with blinker, they scan from inside to outside until full. Notice the difference between the 3rd and 4th pic.

Bottom fog lights from @DDMWorks are on with high beam but blue halo is on full time.

I hope someone can see me now!

(I'll see if I can get a buddy to turn them on while I take a video.)

Did you just blow that? I think I might have heard it.

Not on a 2020, but I installed them on both my 2016.5 and the 2019. Yes, they are worth it. I know that the factory was putting in extra shielding in the 2016.5+, but this kit still helped even more. They are sort of a PITA to get in spot and then pull the backing off, but they stick.

Mine were installed above the passenger side above the A arm on the frame. between the header and the frame on the frame flat frame plate there. The holes are already there and there is plenty of room. I just pulled a musical set from in front of the radiator of Sling II. That was a piece of shit install. You can use the stock horn wire for the relay control and run a new 12 volt power wire to the relay. The stock horn wire is too small to run the air compressor.

Yep, that's where I looked too. The Turbo tubes block that spot (not enough clearance). And that's exactly what I was going to do - run the stock horn wires to the relay and the main wires through a fuse box I already have set up.

So not only do I have the dual horn, but I also bought one of the MotoHorn's. I have one in my truck (that I really like) but got a chrome one for the SS. I'm just waiting to install because I have to pull apart the entire front end as I'm going to install it in front of the radiator behind the mesh. (I'm also installing new fog lights and DDMWorks splitter at the same time.)

Use the head phones. I would have loved to do that a few years back without having to worry about oncoming traffic. Too much back pain now and have to slow down.

But he crossed the line!!! On a closed course. With no one coming the other way. The whole point of the dragon is to not cross the line.

    (But I do wish I could drive like that . . . . .):P

If you are talking for a 2015-16, yes, it helps a lot. It includes pieces to go down the tunnel area too that really helps. If you're looking for a 2017-19, It has some dupicate pieces already added by the factory, but it's still worth it. I added it to both my 2016 and my 2019.

I have the Madstad (Twist Dynamics now) 13". I have it adjusted to the mid-point,about 1" above the dash. It leaves me about a 2" vertical slot between it and the Gullwing Roof that I look though.

I am 6" tall, but very tall in the torso. The top of my head comes to the bottom of the top bar on the stock roll hoops when seated.

The tallest windshield is the Nascar Tall Boy. It has actually been cut to fit within about 1/4" to 1/2" off the Gullwing cross bar. I've actually been thinking of it but in the Texas heat, what others have mentioned with retaining heat has me questioning it (along with the $700+ price tag).

personally I love the snow, just would never want to actually live in it. thats one of the things I love about living where I live. I literally be in the snow in well under an hour and spend the day. or in not much more time I can be at the beach enjoying a nice sunset. all of the possibilities are a short drive/ride away and when I'm done I can be back in one of the only places I know of where I could get away with having a roofless slingshot as my daily driver for over 6 years, most of which as a full time employee who was required to ride to and from work, rain or shine 5days a week. yes, I love the snow, just prefer not to have to actually live and work in it, would rather just visit 8o8o

I know what you mean. I grew up in SoCal too (Covina, then Riverside, then Orange Co). Absolutely true: Spent Christmas on the slopes up in Lake Arrowhead and New Years on the beach (Huntington) just a week later.

Also the buying public forgets that the government is going to be taxing the hell out of the EV's. Remember people that nothing is free, the the government is going to get more than their share one way or another. Remember when diesel was cheaper until everyone started buying because of the increase in fuel mileage. How about the town that wanted you to conserve water, it worked so well that they had to raise the water usage rates to pay for the treatment system they could not afford anymore. There is no free ride unless it is something you can do for yourself.

yep, I agree, right now the government is holding back because they want people to buy electric, but you can bet that whenever they hit the point where they feel enough people have made the switch you can guarantee they will find a way to make up for the lost gas taxes that they are no longer getting - no way in hell they would ever just eat the loss

They've already announced it in Texas. EV cars have to pay a $200 ADDITIONAL fee at registration time to make up for the lost gas tax.

Sent from my SM-G960U using Polaris Slingshot Forum mobile app

And don't trust that all trailers are the same inside, even if marked the same exterior. I found that out when I was looking for an enclosed 8.5x16. The inner wheel wells would differ by as much as 4". I found one that was 83" between the wheel wells - and my sling is 81.5" with the aftermarket wheels.

Bear cubs but if momma was near by it could have been a different story.

I didn't get a pic of it, but we came across a momma and 2 cubs when we were in Maggie Valley this summer. Came around a corner and they were right in the middle of the Blue Ridge Parkway. I slammed on the brakes and into reverse as fast as I could. I bet I was within 30 ft of them. Momma just looked at me, let the cubs get past, then took off into the woods. I noted that she was still there watching us when we drove on.
