Just curious on everyone's thoughts about the new rule the ATF is trying to put into place regarding changing their mind from 3 years ago regarding pistol braces now being considered stocks and wanting millions of people to now register their firearms as an SBR and giving a 120 grace period and not have to pay the $200 tax stamp for it. I'm wondering it it'll go into effect and then be overturned at a later date like the bump stocks did? If it affects you, do you plan on registering it, adding a longer barrel and turn it into a rifle, or not do anything?

Welcome to the best forum for the Slingshot! There are a ton of knowledgeable people here always willing to help and share knowledge. I rode for years until my son was born so I can relate to it being hard to let go. But its great you found a platform to keep you happy enjoying the open air and be pain free. Feel free to reach out with any questions here in a DM or my direct email is kyle@zzperformance.com Definitely get out to some shows. You'll meet a ton of great people and meet the vendors. The largest show is in Maggie Valley NC about 8.5hrs North of you. This year it is May 30th - June 3rd. Lots of vendors and usually a few hundred Slingshots. I'd be surprised if you couldn't find a group coming up from your area to ride with. You can see the events here https://slingshotroadsters.com/pages/events Enjoy the new ride!

To me it just looks like some sort of universal application. It looks like they just bolted it to that plastic, I personally would not do that. There are other wings out there that securely attach to the roll hoops or the sub frame underneath. NRG, Twist Dynamics, and Tricline all make them. All can be found at all things slingshot or sling mods. I'm sure with a little googling you may even be able to find them elsewhere or something that will work for you. Or if you've got some fabrication skills, find something you like and make it work.

You've definitely found the best forum on the web for slingshots. There are a ton of super knowledgeable people here that are always happy to help with any questions. The DIY section here is also a great place to fall down a rabbit hole on. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out here or you can always email me directly at Kyle@zzperformance.com Or my office line is 616.421.4296. Happy Slingin!

That thing looks like a blast. Price is scary though.

Wow, 0 to 60 in under 2 seconds.

7 Reasons to Buy the Daymak Spiritus

    • This vehicle is more environmentally friendly than traditional individual vehicles, as it does not produce emissions.
    • Easier to ride than a traditional vehicle, as it has an electric motor that assists with pedaling.
    • More versatile than other options, as it can be ridden on pavement and off-road trails.
    • Offers a unique riding experience that is both comfortable and efficient.
    • Has a powerful motor that provides assisted pedaling, making it easier to ride up hills or over long distances.
    • The EV’s battery can be easily recharged, making it convenient for daily use.
    • Has various useful features, including a headlight, taillight, and horn.

I wonder if these are the "off-road trails" they are talking about? grin-squared

What do you get to the wheels HHP wise on your 1 mile setup?

    +1 for effort :)

We actually talked about doing this at one point. In theory, if we used 3 of the TiAL Xona Rotor turbos I'm running plus the spray it would be good for roughly 1100-1300whp. The real question would be would the block hold. I am running our girdled race block which has been to 900whp in our shop Cobalt without failure. But that is the most we have ever made on a single turbo setup. And then comes the question, how do you realistically put all that power to the ground in a slingshot? Even with bead locks and slicks or drag radials,it would probably take the 1st 1/2mi before you could really give it the beans.

I've always liked those. Growing up, my father had a friend named Scott Hanish that collected them. He had 4. He claimed he had the 1st and last off the production line. I remember at least one of them having a matching trailer. I really like that color of yours.

Trying to decide between the Zarate rear spoiler or a one-piece fiberglass one. Anyone have any pictures of the Zarate mounted up. Thanks Todd

Figured I would chime in since a lot of the comments were trashing another companies products/putting you down for looking into what you may want use to personalize your sling to your tastes with that weren't at all helpful to what you were asking.. The responses felt like a lot of the keyboard warrior stuff I see over on FaceBook which I'm not used to seeing here so it was a little surprising. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I guess if I don't personally like someones choice in mods, I just keep scrolling onto the next post.

Below are a couple pics of Mark Zarate's Sling with the rear 2 piece upper wing I THINK you are referring to. There is also a pic of mine with a full rear wing like I think you are referring to. Mine is from Underground Auto Styling out of Sarasota FL. You can find it here https://www.universalaudiosolu…ris_Slingshot_Wing.html#/ I purchased the large/long size. Hope this helps a little. If you have any additional questions feel free to reach out directly here on the forum or you can always email me directly at kyle@zzperformance.com If you're on FaceBook I can be found on there and their messenger service as well. Hope you find what you're looking for.

Oh, got ya. Well, then you are stuck with the front exit exhausts then as Twist Dynamics (Welter Performance) dropped the 2.5" dual and outsider systems. That or have a custom shop modify a ZZP exhaust.

Hey Kyle D got any ideas?

We have a redesign in process that would make it compatible with the SC kits and be compliant with emissions on the way. We already finished the redesign of the exhausts for our turbo kit, NA kit., and our upcoming quad kit rear exit and front exit.
