I like the idea; might give it a try myself. Sure would make cleaning the swing arm easier.

OMG, and I haven't figured yet how to use mine to reset the oil change miles!
-
My 16.5 had the camera replaced; no idea if that had anything to do with currrent recall.

Last winter I had a Vanderhall which came with a regular car heater. It only seemed useful when you were driving slow, like in town, but the vents couldn't be directed downward in the foot well where I wanted it. At speed I couldn't feel any of it. The cup holders sound worth trying and easy to put back if they don't suit.

Many thanks to all for advice and pictures. Vern: great paint job..you've given me an idea on painting mine. Goats_Hogs: I like your lic tag up under the tail section and will try to install mine that way. I have shortened it already and if it doesn't fit I think I can make something out of aluminum.
Vendor said they did not recommend removing the lic plate holder on the fender "as it is part of the kit and helps hold everything together in place." Do you guys see any reason why it can't be removed? Vendor also said it likely wouldn't work with the wider 315 tire that I have on now.
I believe it will.

Have any of you with the 2.0 Fender ever had the wheel hit the bottom of the License plate?

Nice workmanship.

I'd like something to make the motor drop to idle faster. Not $300 tho.......

The ancient one and recent rescue added to family.

I put a Paramount 1.5 on my previous 16.5 and was running JR1 soft touring shocks. After running across a rough bump, the rear wheel shock compressed enough that the wheel whacked the license plate and I found it hanging by one screw. I like the Paramount products and am thinking of putting one on my current SS. If I do, i will somehow mount the license plate on top where it is now. Seems to me it might just need some longer bolts, or perhaps angled out a bit.

Not sure this one is comparable to Nitto but was considering it for mine:
General GMAX RS Tires | Performance Truck Summer Tires | Discount Tire but
went back to the Lexani brand that I used in previous SS: LX30 315-35-20. -
Sure wish this was earlier in the fall when temps were milder; would be a nice drive up from my neck of the woods.
Hope you have a nice turnout. -
Maggie Valley is in Western NC.....between Asheville and Cherokee, just off Blue Ridge Pkwy.

Welcome. Now start planning for the rally at Maggie Valley this spring. There, you can see and touch a ton of goodies that you won't be able to resist. LOL

Yeah, I had to grind the inside edge of the right one to make it level. It had a slight curve as you show in your pics. Having a belt sander made it easy. The left side seemed to fit slightly better; it put that down the variations in Polaris plastic. Maybe it wasn't. Still, it just took a bit of time fiddling with them till they suited me. LOL

When Slingmod put the Gap Fillers on sale I ordered a set and they come within a few days. I watched their video and it's not rocket science, but did take longer than expected to get fitted; existing Polaris panel are not all that precise. If you've never worked with fiber glass products before, and I had not, then I'd suggest wearing gloves of some kind or you will get bits of the glass in your hands. LOL. The products are well made; much thicker and substantial than I expected. I did add an extra screw to the lower inside corners and also attached the upper outside corners to the bracket provided instead of relying on the double sided tape which did not adhere well to the fiber glass.
Also added a new shift knob and boot from Slingmod while they have the 10% discount.

They will be shipped out today VIA UPS. I will let you know the tracking number later today. I am sending you 2 caps just in case another one pops off.
Most kind of you. Will try to do the same to someone else on down the road.

Many thanks. Have emailed you my addee and email.

Lost the rear one and thought I'd inquire if anyone has one for sale? Online fiche prices them at $8.45 plus $5 shipping. Hardly worth anyone trotting off to PO, but would offer $10 Paypal. Haven't inquired at dealer but know from past experience that Polaris is slow as all get out! lol

Let us know if you find a good fix. My 16 and current 18 had/have the same sag. They seem to be that way from factory. I'm thinking they may require a bit more padding, but hard to tell unless you take the cover off. I know from experience with a motorcycle seat that a regular hand stapler isn't powerful enuf to penetrate the plastic. Had to take it to auto upholstery for stapling.
