As I get ready to do a sub in the SS this week...I know on the other site there was a thread dedicated to subwoofer builds. I want to go a little further...for those that have used the storage areas behind the seats...what subs have you used in the door and what did you think of the sound? Did you notice if there was a lot of air loss from the door surround? Pics would be nice too. Thanks all!

15 hours...15 damn hours I am not on this site and I miss an opportunity to win free stuff...damn it!

Another one of the converted.....awesome! All praise the Madstads.
Not sure I will get the stinger roof yet...but the wife is near albino so she might want me to break down and get it. lol

Is the luggage rack on the back by the roll hoops are under the tail?
Not 100% sure...wasn't anything I was really looking to add to mine, but I believe it's on the roll bars, has 2 legs that drop on to the black plastics so it doesn't touch the painted portion. Has rubber stoppers on the feet of those legs. It's got a couple of quick release pins that hold it to the roll bar plates. Gas tank is stall accessible...it really is a really solid rack from what I remember of it.

Tha'ts Jeff Charon...he doesn't do a lot of online stuff, but he and I live a few miles apart. He designed the CAI I have on mine. Heck of a guy. He also has an awesome quick release luggage rack that he builds and sells.

9 miles...it took 9 miles for me to park the SS, get in my car and head down to my dealership and buy the factory windshield. I have been riding with the factory windshield since. Well that is until Saturday when my Madstad 9" gets in!

Thanks. I saw the heated seat option. When I opt for that later I will buy a kit off Amazon and do it myself,. Waaaaayyyyy cheaper.
Have a link? I was thinking of doing the heated seats in the seat covers but if you got a cheaper route...I'm in.

I actually like the app a lot...check it a couple times a week to just look through the gallery. It's a pretty solid app.

I was going to be there...but unfortunately there was a work schedule mix up and now I am not able to be there. Really pisses me off.

I talked to one person on facebook that got them and they loved them. It's not a lot of extra padding but enough to make a difference. Also you can build them to look they way you want them to. Also there is an option for heated seats...I think that almost doubles the price though.

I'll be doing a second amp in a few days as well as adding a 10 inch sub. Looks like the Kenwood amplifiers I have are relatively low draw on power so it works out pretty well for me.

Blizzard started Saturday evening...didn't see temps over 40 all weekend. Had a break where the snow melted on Monday morning...and well...got another 4-5 inches in my hood...where is this Springs everyone keeps talking about!??!?

Looks like the route I will be heading since the IRS decided I didn't need turbo money...
-
Registered and can barely contain the excitement...it's looking like I should be able to make every day of the event instead of just 2 nights as originally expected.
-
If you need any assistance with the FB side of the house I can help out. I am on there a fair amount. I just happened to start the Rocky Mountain Slingshots FB page this weekend and hopefully those in the Rocky Mountain region will join to stay up to date with events and rides, charities, so on and so on.

Is there a particular order that the brakes need to be bled? I really need to get around to do it, but haven't found specific answers on it yet.

What happened to knock the turbo out?
The IRS. lol. Having to pay them took a bigger chunk from me than I expected. So my fun money is now going towards "being an adult" fund.
-
And just like that...turbo is out for now. Guess I'll show my way out.

Was able to cash in on this deal yesterday. Since it's all official Slingshot branded gear and parts, it doesn't really add up to much (All retail cost). And you realize that there isn't really that much you want from them. But it was cool to get the referral to have another SS on the streets. Just wanted to say definitely take advantage of it if you can. Best part was I was able to pick out what I wanted on the spot yesterday and walk out with all my goodies.

hopefully, the shoulder is reasonably solid, in case you meet oncoming!
Luckily it's a one way or it would be a damn nightmare
